The dog and I are settling into this quiet and peaceful Sunday, after a really joyful launch of this show @granitegallerymaine. I had the privilege of showing my work with @miles_merriam, 15 yrs old with painting skills and a work ethic far beyond his age. The show was hung so beautifully by @ralffeyl -my good friend, mentor who has superpowers out the wazoo when it comes to making order out of chaos. Without a doubt, none of the promotional advance work could’ve been done without my skilled and patient and persistent daughter who handles digital content for a major gallery. If you feel harassed by emails and posts about this show, just DM me and I’ll put you in contact with her to register your complaints. She’s really good at what she does, even if the idea of promotion makes my stomach hurt. I love you and thank you from the deep well of my heart@marystuartbaker. Then there was the random act of kindness, from an outrageously thoughtful man and huge design talent @ignalv. He sent flowers and had the florist design the arrangement to echo the feeling of my still life work. They arrived, I read his card, and the tears flowed. More like poured. Last, but furthest from the least, are all of the good people who have a lot of options and/or demands on a gorgeous night in Maine, yet they stopped here. I value all of your insight and comments about the paintings. Some bought paintings. Some I got to talk to and some I didn’t, but I saw you and I thank you. Some delivered the best hugs. Some let me hold their children. Everybody enjoyed the music by the incomparable guitarist and vocalist Peter Hynd. You good people, who showed up either to look at the work on your computer screens or live and in person at this beautiful gallery… I deeply appreciate what you did. Honestly, it was when you showed up that this work really came alive.
If you’re in the area and are curious to see the art, I’d love to see you. I will be here through Wednesday., 10-4. Miles will be here as well, on Monday. With much gratitude, Nancy #thankyou #nothingmorenothingless #granitegallery #artexhibition #stilllife

New year’s confession; I do not love posting on social media so I am grateful for inspiration from songs or a special occasion!
This song by @jaybrownblackmountain
has inspired many a new year montages!
Please turn on the volume! 🎶🎼🎵
I’m notorious for burying the lede but it’s all important to me!
Special occasion is the new year and also Alex is planning an amazing wine tasting for 1/4/25 this Saturday 3-5 getting ready for his birthday bash in NYC next week!
While scrolling through my disorganized 2024 photos I was reminded of how incredibly fortunate and grateful we are to have had such a wonderful year filled with great visits from dear friends and beloved family and fabulous wine tastings and dinner pairings!
Looking forward to more in 2025!
🍷🍾🍝
SO much love and fun!
Todd’s family surprised him for his 60th!
What a beautiful memory to behold!
We have formed new friendships here in Belfast that make us feel so warmly at home!
🥰
We love connecting our old friends and family with our new friends!
Please come visit us in Belfast anytime!
It is a magical place!
I highly recommend for you all to scroll through your photos with intentions of life’s treasures!
It makes you laugh and cry at the same time which as JBrown says is “really the gold medal of human experiences…”
Our heart goes out to Aditi and all who lost loved ones in 2024. May their memory be a blessing.

I meant to post the tools I used to draw and thank the people that have either told me about them or gifted me! My niece Tess Bresnan sent me a set of Sennelier Pastels and my friend artist, Ralf Feyl who told me about Pan Pastels.. plus I used pastel pencils on Hank too. Learning all the time… plus the best paper for me is Pastelmat. Just needed to thank my family and friends that support me in my love of drawing‼️And to my BFF Lorna Mc Laughlin who is on this adventure of drawing with me and is a fabulous artist! Thank you all.❤️❤️❤️
