“Do you have psoriasis?”

Is the first thing I said to allyson, at a random coffee shop in the middle of a hot summer in Arkansas. It’s the first thing I feel in love with. An autoimmune disorder, is the reason I found the love of my life. You wonder why things happen in life, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Why would a good God cause this? Why is their pain and suffering? I don’t know why our Heavenly Father lets stuff happen but meeting allyson has made me understand why the things bad things in my life have happen. All the bad that’s happened in my life has been healed by God through Ally. The heartbreak, trauma, and the bad things in life go away when I’m with her. I would go through every scar, physically or mentally to meet her again. I’m so honored to find a partner that loves the imperfection in me the same way Christ does. I love you Allyson, and Thank you Heavenly Father.

dear sos🛟,

i never thought this day would come but after the most amazing 3 years it’s time to hang up my orange. sos has brought me some of the best memories i’ve made in college and i’m so blessed i got to experience something so amazing. from the happy to the sad tears, from the insanely busy hours to the hours chilling in team hqs.

each year’s staff brought new friends, memories and experiences and i wouldn’t trade any of them for the world. i will forever thank God for allowing me to make an impact on all these freshmen, as well as placing all of these amazing people in my life. i will hold these experiences near and dear to my heart forever.

five months ago, i didn’t understand why God was calling me to interview for this organization, but i will forever be thankful i listened because this was the experience of a lifetime!! S.O.S. gave me friendships that i never would have expected to bloom in such a short amount of time. through this organization, i gained confidence in myself and my abilities to be a leader in my community.

there is so much love in my heart for my team, my team leader, and all of staff for this wonderful experience. but most importantly: thank you jesus! run it back next year?? 🙏🛟⚾️🔍🍊🫰🏻

Words cannot describe my love for this organization and the work we do! Everyone said that SOS would change you as a person, and I can confidently say that I have changed for the better! To my returners, your guidance has made this experience better than I could’ve imagined and you turned fear into peace. To my fellow newbies, im so proud of all of you and we made it!!!
