Yesterday, I not only attended Whooverville 17, I was a steward at Whooverville 17 and dressed up as the good Captain Jack Harkness! 💙💙➕🔷

Highlights for my 2nd year at Whooverville include seeing so many Greenpeace Doctor cosplays, a biker gang rocking up, chatting with Sophie Aldred, a selfie with Pete McTige, winner two raffle prizes, getting a free cocktail from a nice Doctor Who fan and meeting so many old and new friends. You are all fantastic, absolutely fantastic and thank you all for putting up with me! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Literally can't believe a moment I have waited for half of my life happened yesterday now!
Met my dear friend Johannah for the first time after knowing her for 15+ years and talking to her almost everyday online! What a blessed time that was!! Only wish we had more time!

Drew this as a gift for my friend @ralphbannerman who told me the amazing news that Frazer and Wendy would be coming up to a con later this year!!

I had been hoping for forever that they would both come up to one at some point so I’m super thankful to you for telling me about it!! So here’s a glimpse into the future of you standing with Jamie and Zoe ✨

Capital Sci Fi Con 2026 (21/2/26)
——————
Always here every year (apart from that one year I was ill), and crikey, it’s been TEN years since Keith started this glorious convention as a fundraising opportunity for CHAS. In Meadowbank for the first two years, with a virtual Covid edition in 2021, gosh every year, we get together… and it’s only taken me ten years to realise that it’s called Capital Sci Fi Con because Edinburgh is the CAPITAL of Scotland. Aren’t I slow?

Lovely time chatting with ambassador and guest James Mackenzie (largely about Motherwell, would you believe?), with loads of friends (most of whom I didn’t take my own pictures with, I’m bad at this 🤣), an armada of poses, brief moments of passing banter with Matt as he busily worked away as part of the team…

…Oh, and my jaw dropping with a sonic boom to be heard from space as Miranda issue 3 was placed on a table amidst confusion for probably everyone else in the venue. Over two decades later, and a copy just drops in my lap. (Big love Lynn for letting me have it, even if largely because I’m probably the only person in Scotland who cares THAT much about something this niche.)

Possibly my favorite picture from a con without a guest in it! If not it's definately my favorite photo in my 9 cosplay! Love a good con crossover
