Students in the First-Year Art Experience class participated in a Campus Art Hunt to find some of the amazing artworks on Tennessee Tech’s campus! The mural by painting alums Abby Ramaker and Millie Hall was especially popular among current students!

What girl doesn’t love a cool set of wings?! Found these at Trackside in Cookeville by happen chance while exploring the downtown area. Trackside has an abundance of outdoor seating and several different food trucks to choose from making it a great place for a group outing.

Last night was so special! @ramakerabby spoke to us about her body of work, her process and the intentionality that went into each piece of work. Her family and friends and some of our own local artists asked questions and celebrated what an amazing gift she has given to this community in her art. Having a gallery is very cool. Having art hanging on the walls is pretty amazing. But watching people make connections and heal and process their own circumstances through the work of someone else is truly why this gallery means so much to us. Art is an amazing vehicle for connection and we get to watch that happen all the time. What a gift!

Starting today, you can view the absolutely STUNNING work from @ramakerabby in the gallery! These pieces are gorgeous and large and the use of light and dark will captivate you. You really need to see these in person!

And as an added treat, Abby will be in the shop on April 30 from 6-8 to welcome the community for an artist talk where she will delve into her process, her inspiration and answer any questions. What a treat!

The Gallery at Havner’s is excited to share that “Waking Up,” a solo exhibition by Abby Ramaker, will be on view in the gallery March 17 – April 30.

Abby’s body of work explores the transformations we go through as people and the light we discover within and around us during those times of change. To her, painting is a language that can translate emotions that cannot be expressed any other way. This exhibition speaks to the resiliency of the spirit within oneself to guide them through dark times. It’s about hope, rebirth, and ultimately healing.

This exhibition will not have a traditional opening reception. Instead, Abby will host a special Artist Talk on April 30 at 7 PM in the gallery, where she will share insights into her technique, process, and the themes behind the work.

It’s an honor to have Abby share her expertise with our community, and we hope you’ll join us for this thoughtful conversation to close the exhibition.

July 30th-August 4th: I took a solo vacation trip to Tennessee, my first time there. I visited Nashville, Cookeville (cute small town), & Jamestown (in the country). I went there for both a bit of tourism sight-seeing, but mainly to drive out to Jamestown for a spiritual camping festival, which was epic. These photos are from Day 1 & 2 of my sight-seeing BEFORE I arrived to the festival. The large cool building is the Parthenon in Centennial Park of Nashville, which is an exact size replica of the one in Ancient Greece. @thestreetangel #thestreetangel #streetangel #kindness #bekind #angel #wings #mission #purpose #missionary #YouMatter #antibullying #BeYourself #inspire #inspirational #BeTheChange #positivity #tracksideckvl #southernangels #activist #activism #courage #nashville #parthenon #centennialparknashville #tourism #cookeville #travel #traveler #Tennessee #delmonacowinery @ramakerabby

Check out our first round of workshops and crafts we are hosting in our creative classroom!

Workshops are ticketed events with an instructor and take place during the entire time windows listed. Crafts are come-and-go, meet up with your friends or take some self care time for a solo craft any time during the window of time the craft is offered, pay for your materials at the shop, and enjoy the project with everything you need right at your fingertips.

We're excited to have a range of workshops and crafts featuring varying intensities and age ranges. And we're releasing new classes almost every day right now, so keep an eye out!!
