Well, this is pretty special. ❤️

ESPN just published a story about something that happened in the Bahamas that I’ll never forget. For the first time in my 30+ year broadcasting career, my oldest son Lukas was hired to work alongside me as my statistician.

I’ve already shared how much that experience meant to me. But this story is a little different.

ESPN interviewed BOTH of us, and I got to hear the experience from Lukas’s perspective. Including what he remembers about all those years sitting beside me at broadcast tables, what it was like to work together as professionals, and the moment our technology failed and his handwritten stats saved the day.

Turns out, we were both paying attention all those years. Just to different things. 🥹

Thank you, ESPN, for telling our story. It’s one I’ll treasure long after the final whistle.

What a moment to celebrate the last of the Rohlwings in the Adversity program! Congrats Garrett Rohlwing on your commitment to Loyola Chicago!! @ramblersmvb

Both of Garrett’s brothers achieved their dreams of playing at the collegiate level — and now, the third time is the charm! 🏐

Garrett we’re so excited to see you continue the tradition and chase your own collegiate dreams. Even better, you’ll still be right at home, so we’ll be there cheering you on and supporting you every step of the way!

Congratulations, Garrett! We are SO proud of you! 👏🎉

I am more than happy to announce my commitment to play D1 volleyball at The University of Loyola Chicago. First I would like to thank my parents and all of the Adversity VBC staff who have been nothing but supportive of me for the last 5 years as I chased my dream of playing division 1. I would also like to thank Coach Davis, Exline, and Dalton for this amazing opportunity to be a part of an amazing program. Go Ramblers!

Volleyball season is back! With two new schools this fall, we’re going hard on the Vincentian way—serving in hope.

We only have one of four kids still at home. But two at Chicago DePaul schools—University and College Prep.
