Taking a trip across the bridge to try @theherringroom specifically for their 10-day aged duck 🦆. As we liked to call it, ‘Happy Duck Day!’ ✨

#theherringroom #manly #sydneyeats #sydneyfood #sydneyfoodshare

first, we had to get some starters to whet our appetite:

Smoked fish mousse on housemade crumpet w chives & katsuobushi

Hokkaido half shell scallop w garlic onion butter, tobiko & chives
(True buttery goodness 🫨🧈)

churro bites with honey x anchovies (thanks chef!)

okay time for the main event: 😍😍😍
10 day dry aged crispy NSW whole duck w BBQ fruit purée & duck jus 🦆 (with a serving of fries, naturally)

close up 😍

it truly shoots well from every angle 📐.
And the taste: earth shattering delicious.

Also ordered the hibachi wagyu NSW wagyu MB 6/7+ flank steak w chargrilled onion, tarragon egg cream & beef jus

+ Roasted cabbage
w chimichurri, shio koji & roasted almonds 🥬
(Honestly would love to recreate this at home, such a delicious way to eat cabbage)

Chef @danny___jeong in action 🐟
(thank you! 🙏)

🐟 if you can’t commit to the course menu or get a booking, the à la carte menu at Saint Peter Bar is a great alternative!
A great selection showcasing everything fish and seafood that Saint Peter is built on!

11 years in and nothing has changed.

We still take our yakitori as seriously as ever. Every skewer prepared by hand, grilled over charcoal and watched closely from start to finish.

No shortcuts. No overcomplicating things. Just good ingredients, plenty of smoke, and the same care that’s gone into every service since day one.
