It’s a beautiful program lined up, with live choral music of the Renaissance accompanying my own choreography, as well as authentic choreography of modern dance pioneer Isadora Duncan. There will also be time at the end for the audience to partake in a mini-workshop and create your own dance (totally optional 🙂)

Spending all day long in the hospital with my Mom, and baby comes along of course too. Life has shifted off its routine, I’ve barely seen my kids, and we are taking it day by day while unable to predict what the future will look like.

Had a moment to move a bit today before heading out…

Nothing better than performing with family! This time with my mom and sister @courtney_ramm and their beautiful dance company @rammdance in Wild Beauty: Dances of Myth and Archetype. I’m currently in rehearsal with pianist @naomi11sanchez and flutist @christycamba 🎶

I am singing some beautiful pieces including this gem (Panis Angelicus) which has been one of my favorite things to sing since I was a pre-teen 🤓. I will also sing Bachianas Brasileiras by Villa-Lobos, Che farò senza Euridice and other arias by Gluck while the beautiful dancers treat the audience with the movements of Isadora Duncan and modern dance.

Join us live this Saturday afternoon for one performance only, ticket link in bio ✨

This weekend, May 27th and 28th, come see @rammdance Company perform in San Francisco, at The 26th Annual Dionysian Festival!

This new modern dance work “ERIS” for 5 women is rooted in classical, mythic and archetypal movement of the Hero’s Journey, and merges classical ballet with the Isadora Duncan style!

p.s. Notice how the tunics transformed from the last tunic post??!

DANCER ESCAPES DANGEROUS ABUSE and shares with us on "Happiness through Hardship" - The Podcast. @courtney_ramm of @rammdance talks to us about how it's possible to move forward after life-altering harm. Courtney is a dancer, holistic practitioner, mother and first-time author of "Eris Rising." This debut memoir is a deeply personal tell-all about a relationship with a dangerous man that led her down a dark path, yet she found her way out. Courtney holds a warrior spirit like the greek goddess, Eris, as she speaks about the injustices she experienced in an effort to help others.
_
Courtney spent years following the route of success - by the age of eight she was studying at the renowned School of American Ballet and soon thereafter, performing on New York’s greatest stages. At twenty-five years old, she acted upon a strong inner calling to start her own dance company in Hawaii. The one thing missing from the picture-perfect life she had imagined: a perfect husband. When she first locked eyes with Marcus at a spiritual gathering, she sensed something was off in the uncanny intensity of his stare. But she dove into a relationship anyway, not grasping the danger of the decision. While her story is intense, her tone is kind and her tips are resourceful. She’s full of insight both on this podcast episode and in her new book "Eris Rising."
_
Though her words are heartbreaking...we also talk about funny things that make us laugh. Please listen and let us know what you think. In fact, you can tell her yourself as we will be going LIVE on Instagram later this week and can answer your questions. Please let us know some below or reach out via DM. She's also a master detox chef, pilates/dance instructor and non-profit founder.
