A follow up on @ramona.creative , after now being able to cast without pain she is on the bank hauling.

That’s so good to see, like the hat to 😊

Coming home to read this message made my day, after all she is going through health wise, still getting out there doing her best fishing with a smile on her face.

We can all learn from this.

Love it ❤️

1st Degree Black Belt, strange thing to wrap my head around, so much is place on the significance of promotions and stripes, and often other people worry about about what wear around our waist than time spent worrying about things that matter or will help them along their personal al path of growth more.

Suffice to say that we don’t have that problem, my beloved teacher @base9zayd is not just one of, but the single most genuine dude and we’ve had many conversations about belts and degrees and things and the honor and pride I feel in calling myself “his black belt” and representing him will only ever grow as my admiration for him does! I love you without condition and whole heartedly my brother thank you

Being with all the @base9smg @basedefencegym lads and just being part of this beautiful team is incredible and having our brother @bjj_essex there to be a part of this was the cherry on top, sad that some missed the day but there will always be more

Lastly as I stated, this right here wouldn’t have been happening if not for the mindset shift @ramona.creative installed which was simple “if you really don’t care about your rank and belt then why does it matter if there’s degrees on it” words that have drastically shifted my thought process and so this promotion is dedicated to her.

Last but by no means least at all, once again a huge thank you to @mauriciogomes.bjj for his trust, for allowing myself and others who follow to be proud to serve and continue to be a part of upholding the integrity of this esteemed and rich linage with pride as he would expect.

Gods Blessings to all

The moment me and @base9zayd realised we were home.
Back to doing what we love which is teaching this amazing art we both put so many years in to most importantly in my mind, together!

These little moments here at the moment between moments the moments that are not noticed by other and almost forgotten.
#when a picture captures this look, the encouragement of a teacher to a student the pride, the passion for what we are doing the admiration for each others skill sets like this, this truly is a picture that speaks a thousand words to me and will be one of my favorite pictures of all time

Picture by @ramona.creative thank you ❤️

I am inspired by some amazing people truly, but this woman is the l corner stone of it all @ramona.creative

Over 1 year ago she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, at 32 years old. I watched this woman begin her fight against her deepest fear and what I witnessed while she did it every single day reminds me who my family is.

She battled, operations, then chemo then radio therapy, she had her ups and downs and believe me it was the most difficult thing we ever did, but she wore her smile every day, and was blessed to be able to fight, she inspired everyone around her with her beauty and grace and when we all sat around thinking how can she do it she continued to raise the bar and through infections that were life threatening to the end of treatment she still smiled and we have the pictures to prove it.

She even while in treatment continued to film content for us and no one even knew what she was going through.

Our amazing friends at @the_fighting_arts_academy @lauradevinelaw @royalmarsden and @kateosamormp stood by Ramona in her darkest hour and helped me to protect my family and for that I’ll never be able to repay them and all that donated to her and was there for her when we needed them! Too many to mention

While I was running this morning, pushing through the pain and the uncomfortable feeling, my brain started with its “how can I get out of this” attitude, and when I confronted that voice and said we are doing this, the bargaining started, the “we can rest at the end of this road” and I remembered this isn’t hard, what @ramona.creative did was a million times harder than this! A sentiment deeply shared by @base9zayd and @base9skippy as we’ve talked about it before.

We thank those who stood with us through it all and those who continue to support today!

I am proud of you my beautiful, inspiring, talented best friend, soulmate, my pride, my air, my world ❤️

16/06/2025 the incredible @base9zayd honored me with my teaching bars! The “professors” bars. This promotion of all my promotions is the most significant, in terms of who I am, I am a teacher first, I don’t claim to be great in terms of sparring I only ever want to help people who need it. And Zayd has said I should’ve had them since I was a blue belt and so for him to be the one to give them to me I can never say thank you enough but I’ll continue to act with the conduct expected of me in the hopes I’ll live up to it!

I’d like to offer some thanks to some special people, if which there are many! But to keep it short as I can:

Thank you first and foremost to @mauriciogomes.bjj for his trust in Zayd so that we can serve people with honor and pride.

Thank you to @base9zayd for his trust in me and his humble strides towards what he needed to do to see this done no more needs be said he knows!

My beautiful wife @ramona.creative who stood by me, never once did she question the time I spent away from her to do what I do, she encouraged every second never once did she say “can we skip tonight” not even during her darkest time this promotion you share a huge part of my love thank you

@habib_hamid_bdg for always making me feel welcome and always cheering me on since the day I met him! He’s brought a positivity to my world that I can’t thank enough

@80psd for his support and his confidence in me and my teaching and his uncle for the bars that were hand sowed on!!

@bjjmonkey for always believing in me and lifting me up when others tried to drag me down, being among the first when I got my submission grappling black belt to congratulate me as an equal as well as teaching me and spending extra time making sure I got moves I still use today

@pbjj_essex who the same as monkey greeted me as an equal and told me “you’re a black belt you’ve been for a long time” as I said to Zayd this always meant the world to me

Last but never least, @base9skippy for being a brother, you don’t know how special you are to me and how you’ve helped me and it’s valued appreciated and you like Zayd always have a place at my table

Love to you all and anyone else missed thank you ❤️

One year ago today, I married the most amazing woman in the world. Sent by God, as we were meant to go through this world together and to endure all that was to come together.

Her strength and what she was going through during this picture to be doing what she did on that amazing day, will never stop amazing me

My vows that day mean too much for words, and as this weeks ceremonies come to a close I remember that she as much a part of the great things that have happened as anyone else

And so thank you my love, the thank you for being you, your everlasting grace and beauty and your head strong determination during the most difficult year have shown so many of us that we don’t know the meaning of struggle and hardship and we are better for it

Happy anniversary my dearest beautiful love, my wife, my soulmate, my best friend my everything @ramona.creative ❤️
