This baseball story starts on Facebook Marketplace.

One bat.
5 days.
One group of hitters.

When the Tigers HPP 18U team ran into an obstacle at Nationals, there wasn’t much time to complain about it.

Adapt. Overcome. Move on

So they found a bat.
And somewhere along the way, it stopped being just a bat.
It became the team bat.

Passed from hitter to hitter.
Used through the entire Nationals run.
One small piece of equipment that somehow became part of a much bigger story.

Now the Marketplace bat has officially been retired.

Signed by the 2026 18U Canadian National Champions, it will sit at The Den on display.

Not because it was expensive.

Not because it was special when we bought it.

Because of what happened after we bought it.

Facebook Marketplace to the rescue.
5 days later… National Champions.

Some things are worth keeping.

“Guys… live your life this way: ALL IN, ALWAYS.”

Tigers HPP Director of Player Development Sean Travers, speaking to the players after their 18U National Championship Win in Alberta.

A message bigger than baseball.

"ALL IN, ALWAYS”
