Launching Friday October 9th 6pm at @perimeterbooks in Melbourne is:
📕📸
Hanako Muller‘s ‘Family Sleeping’ - CCP.PE.Z.009
➡️

-
‘Family Sleeping’ is “an evolving body of work that gently considers the role photographs play in memory consolidation and our understanding of familial relationships. Using images from my family archive, I merge my own work within these moments as a way to explore how our individual timelines, experiences and lives can begin to morph and overlap when we are provided with visual reminders that bear a sense of familiarity. Finding echoes within intergenerational imagery, I look for comfort in photography’s ability to disrupt our linear perception of time and blur the distance between lives.” Hanako Muller
@han.a.ko
➡️

-
Hanako Muller is an emerging artist living on unceded Wurundjeri land. Her work explores themes of connection and identity with personal reflections on adolescence, queerness and memory. Using photography as a process to piece together stories and relationships, Hanako’s work considers the ways in which we are shaped by the people and spaces that surround us.

New exhibition launching Thursday August 6th - ‘Unbound: New Photo Zines’ - featuring the work of Nik Ranepura @ran_nran
-
A new @ccp_australia exhibition presented in partnership with @artsinmaroondah & @maroondahcitycouncil
Curated by @dboetkers in collaboration with @garethsyvret.
-
‘’Corrosion’ presents a diaristic collection of images that documents elements of the subcultures and communities that I am immersed in, in my home of Naarm / Melbourne. The zine offers an intimate perspective on friends, collaborators, memories and motifs. I hope to create an imagined space for viewers to reside in, that is tinged with the city’s same fragile grey.’ – Nik Ranepura
-
The exhibition production, printing, framing and mounting is supported by @artsinmaroondah and @maroondahcitycouncil - and as always is produced with @ccp_australia’s brilliant professional partners HCPro, @spicersaus, @hahnemuehle_imaging
-
Join us 6pm August 6th at ArtSpace at Realm @artsinmaroondah for the official opening event, and to meet the artists and curator. More public events, talks and workshops to follow.
