Little bit of this little bit of that ☀️🐟

I’ve been putting this post off since April because I think a part of me knew that once I posted it, it would officially be over.

I left cheerleading with lifelong friendships, memories, lessons, and experiences that shaped who I am today.

@charlotte49erscheer , you gave me a home in this sport. You gave me some of my best friends, taught me how to lead, and pushed me beyond what I thought I was capable of.

@uncwcheerleading , you gave me another shot.

My first year at Charlotte, I got hurt before NCA and never got the chance to compete. In my final year of college cheer, I found myself back at NCA with UNCW. Getting to step onto that mat meant more to me than most people probably realized. I finally got the opportunity an injury had taken away from me years before.

And because apparently NCA and I have beef 😂, my final competition ended with an injury too. But this time, I got on that mat, competed, and finished my stunt. Nobody can take that moment away from me.

Cheer taught me resilience, leadership, trust, and how to keep going when things don’t go according to plan. Most importantly, it gave me people and memories I’ll carry forever.

Charlotte, thank you for giving me my foundation.

UNCW, thank you for giving me another shot.

And cheer, thank you for giving me so much more than I ever expected.

That’s a wrap. 🤍
