I went to Tucson for a conference, I left with a new family. No words to describe how grateful I am to everyone who made the 2026 Invertebrates in Education and Conservation Conference so amazing! I learned so much from some of the best people I’ve ever met. The bug community is an island of misfit toys, and I’m so proud to be a part of it! I’ll see you all next year! Many more photos to come!

Had a great time helping out two of my favorite nonprofits while running the @tucson_herpetological_society booth at the @deserttortoisecouncil symposium this week.

2025 is over. The past 2 ish years have been hard. Been bouncing around homes / places to live do to no one willing to hire a wild life dude with 7+ years of science... getting back on our feet to buy a house and for me to get my business going is a stuggle. I want to thank all the people who have truly helped us in 2025. And thank you follows for all your support and questions keeping me sharp on my reptile knowledge haha. Cheers!!! And happy new year!!!!!

Looking back at another insane year with so many changes😮‍💨
This year was a big one for me. I got a new, dream job, I started a business, I moved to yet another state, made some new friends, and learned a lot of lessons. I spent my 20s waiting for my life to finally fall into place, getting knocked down just to get up and start all over again. Like a lot of people, I was disappointed I didn’t have it all figured out, hoping maybe next year I’ll finally get it together. But it took me too long to realize, no one has it all together. I’ll continue making mistakes, and learning from them, I’ll keep getting knocked down, and I’ll get back up each time, because that’s just life, whether you’re 20, 30, 40, 80, you’re always learning and growing. While this isn’t the life I envisioned for myself at 31, I’m pretty damn proud of all that I’ve overcome, and will continue to overcome. I’m proud of the life I’ve created for myself, and the friends I’ve made and let go of. I’m proud of doing scary things that I never thought I could do. I’m proud for standing up for myself, and not letting bad days/ weeks/ months, define me. While I’m proud of how far I’ve come myself, I couldn’t have made it without some pretty amazing people. Like always, if you aren’t tagged, it’s not because I don’t love you, it took hours to cut down thousands of photos to just 20. Thank you all, and cheers to more adventures in 2026 💥

Not my usual post…but a snapshot of the past several weeks in preparation of a huge life change. Lots of quality time spent with people I love, and extra cuddles for my kitties to remind them that I’m still there, even when I’m gone for a while. Will share more later!
