Cover story, and there’s more inside. 🍂

Our kitchen design landed the cover of the Fall 2026 Designer Issue of OUR HOMES magazine, and this living room is part of the feature spread inside. We’re so proud to share a closer look.

This room was designed around one idea: bring the outside in without losing any of the warmth. The fireplace wall pairs rugged fieldstone with a crisp, veined slab surround, softened by black steel log niches stocked floor to ceiling. Above, white oak beams frame the ceiling and catch the glow at golden hour, while the oversized black windows put the maples on full display this time of year. We kept the palette quiet with layered creams, sage, and natural textures, so the view and the materials can do the talking.

Thank you to OUR HOMES for including us, and to our incredible clients, trades, and @thenorthstudio_ for bringing this one to life. 🤍

Grab the fall issue to see the kitchen on the cover and the full home inside. Stone and slab, or all stone? Tell us below 👇

What an amazing weekend in Charlotte with our family, friends, sponsors, partners, and guests! I was so proud of Zane and Gray throughout the weekend, and getting to share it with so many people we love made it even more special.

A special thank-you to Izzy at Flywheel and Randy with Randy Blain Construction. This weekend would not have been possible without these two guys and the support of our incredible partners Big Rock Motorsports, Mane ’n Tail, Rebel Pouches, and our entire Southern Roots family. We’re so thankful for each of you!

Tyler Hubbard put on an amazing concert! This guy is an incredible singer and sounds unbelievable live. I sure hope NASCAR brings him back for more races so fans around the country can experience that kind of pre-race show. He brought so much energy to the weekend!

A big thank you to Carl Long and his entire race team for making everyone feel welcome and appreciated. They worked extremely hard to give Gray a good car, and our family is grateful for their dedication and effort.

To cap it all off, we got to celebrate Zane’s dad Mike’s 60th birthday before heading home. Happy birthday, Mike! So glad we could celebrate together!

This was truly a weekend for the books great racing, great music, special memories, and the best part of all: time with family and friends. Feeling blessed and thankful! 🏁❤️

A classic family cottage deserves a refresh that respects its history.

the team at @randy_blain_construction transformed this lakeside retreat with a thoughtfully designed addition, featuring an elevated kitchen that brings in natural light and modern functionality while still feeling true to the cottage's original character.

We also completely rebuilt the back deck, enhancing both its structure and style for the perfect spot to entertain or unwind over the water.

Cozy. Contemporary. Still unmistakably this family's cottage.

Didn't manage to get the result, but @charlottemotorspeedway was a productive day for @graygaulding to get some experience banked in the Next Gen car on an intermediate track.

Thanks to all of our sponsors this weekend!

Started the race decent in Turns 1 and 2, but we were just a bit too low and dragging the diffuser over the bumps in Turns 3 and 4. Carl raised the back of the car up at our first couple of pit stops, and from there, the car was handling alright in traffic. @graygaulding was doing a good job throughout of running his own race. Unfortunately we didn't make the finish, as the No. 45 car got loose off Turn 2 and we were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. P36 today at @charlottemotorspeedway.
