I explored Darjeeling, searching for a place that felt right… and then I found a little home in the heart of nature. 🌿🏡

Sometimes, the best part of travelling isn’t the places you visit, but the place that makes you feel at home.
📍 Your peaceful escape in Darjeeling.

Our property starts from the highway, Hill Cart Road and are accessible by public transportation. We’re located in Bunglow Dara Rangbull which lies 10 km before central Darjeeling.

When in Darjeilling❌
Rangbull ✅ - 10 km before reaching Darjeilling town.
Here you’ll finally feel like the quiet gets louder than noise, the crowded streets and lack of a “winter land in summer” experience that you complain Darjeilling lacks now a days, Rangbull has.
It’s a beautiful forest retreat yes with views of the Alpine forest with mist covering it - so yes that is going to be your morning view. With a cup of Cha in your hand it’s the perfect beginning to a day!!
some things to keep in mind
- This is not your average stay, it’s offbeat so you’re going to have to adapt to not having the same amenities like evening access to online ordering and travelling later in the evening that Darjeilling city provides to an extent. You’ll have the luxury of time and solitude though.
Night arrives fast and even though it’s so so safe for solo travellers (i can vouch for that myself), you’ll probably crave company two nights in if you’re an ambivert like me. So either be prepared for that or bring along someone whose company you enjoy.
It’s colder than Darjeilling so layer up.
The owner is super sweet and will tend to your every need as will the staff and resident dogs who are so welcoming you’ll leave feeling well taken care of that’s for sure. Also it’s colder than the city to bring enough layers.
Just a general word of caution, do bring your regular or emergency meds with you since the town is far away.
Also if you’re here to escape the chaos of life great choice but bear in mind if you’re here for the Mall Road experience and Kanchenjunga views primarily, this is not the right place for that. This is an offbeat place , you’re views will be the forest around you where you’ll be staying and even through the town is accessible, it is going to be easier if you planned a stay in the city near Mall Road itself on few days of the trip so you also have access to the market and the charm of Darjeilling.
From here apart from the forest views and quiet stay, you’ll have closer access to Ghoom and Batashia loop than Darjeilling city, you can visit Dali monastery as well as Sonada monastery which are nearer to Rangbul than Darjeilling.

Enjoy your stay! @rangbul_la
