Dreams often come late these nights.

🗺️ Saranda Tasara , Nayagarh

Save this if you love star gazing.

Night skies in Odisha are getting more vulnerable than the IUCN red list.
Salvaging what I can find. First image is a stack of 200 photos for the star trails and second a small stack to capture the milkyway, wasn’t successful though.
The foreground was shot using natural as well as the lights from my car and torch as well.

Life at Pentakatha by Ranvir Deb

While the rest of Puri caters to pilgrims and tourists, the fishing community of Pentakatha exists in quiet contrast. Tucked away from the postcard version of the coastline, it is a space that is raw, resilient, and deeply rooted in the rhythms of the sea.

Photographer Ranvir spent over a year building genuine familiarity and trust within the community to document the unseen backbone of the town’s seafood supply. Mornings here start long before sunrise. As the boats return from the dark water, the air grows heavy with the scent of salt, fish, and relentless labor.

By bypassing the expected establishing shots, this series focuses on the people who actually keep this shoreline alive. It captures their daily physical grind, their brief moments of rest, and their intimate bond with the water. Ultimately, this is not just a story about fishing, it is a visual record of belonging, and a way of life shaped entirely by tides, time, and tradition.
