Reminiscing on 217 very comfortable kilometres spent traversing central NSW on the @factorbikesaustralia ALUTO. Couldn’t have asked for a better companion. Smooth over the rough stuff, fast on the flats, and stable enough for checking the map (doomscrolling).

Factor ALUTO, SRAM Force XPLR with power meter Raptor Blue, size 56
Black Inc Thirty Four wheels with Continental Terra Adventure 45s
Black Inc integrated barstem, 100mm x 40cm
SRAM Force E1 XPLR, 1x13-speed, 44T, 10-46T

I know #itsnotarace, but the ALUTO proved to be an incredible race bike at @wagga_gearsandbeers, and I’m really looking forward to ripping in at @editionzerogravel later in the year.

Many ALUTO adventures to come!

From a Taupō Intermediate relay to bringing a crew of riding mates across the Tasman 🚴‍♀️💙

For Emily Irvine, the Lake Taupō Cycle Challenge has come full circle.

Emily grew up in Taupō and first took on the event as part of a school relay team. Now based in Sydney and a Rapha Sydney Ride Leader, she’s coming back this November, and bringing a crew of 12 women with her.

For some, it’ll be their first trip to New Zealand. For others, their longest ride yet. For all of them, it’s about taking on a big challenge together and enjoying the ride.

From Taupō to Sydney and back again. We can’t wait to welcome them to the start line. 🙌🏼

Wow 🤩 My first ever Elite Gravel World Championships 💚💛! Lining up at Worlds wearing the green and gold and racing alongside the best in the world, felt pretty surreal. A dream come true 🇦🇺!
With conditions tougher than expected, it was a BIG day out. 125km, 3,178m of elevation, 5hrs 7mins of racing and 30th place.

It’s been a time of reflection since crossing the finish line. Of course, I would have loved to performed better. But this race has also reminded me how far I’ve come, both on and off the bike. Since getting healthy again, I’ve had to feel the reality that my body has changed. I’ve gained over 10kg since last year, and I’m not climbing as fast as I once did. This is a really hard thing to accept and at times it leaves me feeling conflicted about recovery.
There are still moments when the ED voices come creeping in, and I question whether being healthy is worth it. But I know a healthy Tori is a happy Tori. I’m learning that progress isn’t always linear, and I hope that with time, consistent training and patience the performance will come too.

So, with that I look back and say WOW. What an incredible experience to represent Australia in the green and gold, lining up alongside with amazing women I look up to. Also being part of such an incredible team.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped me get there. My family @wendybarry65, @hugobarry who made the trip to support me. Having you there gave me so much confidence, and getting a hug at the finish line was the best feeling ever. I wish my Dad had been there too 🤍🕊️. The boys at work @giantadelaide who are always in my corner, encouraging me and giving me confidence, sharing tips and making me laugh every day. I’m so lucky to have you all backing me.
@livcycling_aus for getting me out on the new Devote Advanced SL 1. What an absolute weapon of a race bike! It felt incredible and is soooo pretty 😍💜. @nxtlvl.pc for putting together a 7 week program in the lead up and giving me the best preparation possible within the short time.
And fuelling the day with 650g of carb from @sul_nutrition with their mix and gels.
