As a peanut butter devotee and a bonafide graffi girl, one of my favorite foods as a child was Mboh. To make this all you need to do is fry and grind 10 cups of groundnut, mix in about a cup of (pre-soaked) dry fish, then add salt to taste and a little red pepper from @eaglewingsfood . I didn’t use exact measurements, but @preciouscore or @immaculatebites should have a recipe with better measurements.

You can either cook it as is or tie it in leaves and steam it. I think I used gongo leaf here but banana or plantain leaves should work just fine. Just wash the leaves, quickly pass them over an open flame, then wrap the groundnut paste and steam.

This was actually my first time making it and it was surprisingly straightforward, the only time consuming part was that after grinding it with the machine, I had to regrind it with a grinding stone because one Awing woman said it wasn’t smooth enough 🥲. So if you’re using the same machine, make sure it’s properly tightened beforehand. #cameroonianfood #groundnutpaste

Top 3 things I learned from this lasagna recipe:

1. Oregano in french is origan which is not that different but sounds *cooler* when you say it

2. Grana padano is pretty much parmesans less intense, but just as delicious, younger brother (in case you’re ever in a pinch and looking for substitutions)

3. Bechamel lasagna > ricotta lasagna, end of story
