The graduation and reunion celebrations have passed, the campus is quiet, and we miss our Spelman sisters! This summer is a perfect time to connect with Spelman Museum. We are open, come see us, and bring a friend with you!

Shoutout to these gorgeous women of @spelmanclass2016 as they represented during their 10th reunion in the “Calida Rawles: Away with the Tides” exhibition.

“Calida Rawles: Away with the Tides” is on view now through September 5. Visit us Wednesday-Saturday 12-5 pm EST. Free and open to the public.

The @spelman_college White Dress Ceremony, or Class day, happens every year to welcome the latest the graduating class into alumnahood. The tradition pays homage to the uniforms women would wear in the earliest years in the college’s history to convocation. A white dress, something that could be easily made, skin-tone hosiery, and a closed toed shoe.

This year’s ceremony was nothing short of amazing, and I’m so glad I got to share it with my girls.

To the Class of 2026, welcome to the fold. 👩🏾‍🎓🩵

Just know I Love my family with everything in me. Though we are not perfect and often disagree, but you can rest assured if you mess with ANY of them I will not rest until you are resting in peace… I am no killer but please don’t test my reach……..
