📖 Plot:

Shaun is stuck in a boring routine, dealing with work and relationship problems while barely keeping his life together. The legendary Peter Griffin proving once again that timing is everything. When Lois Griffin decides to spice things up and hits him with the line “Come and get it big boy,” she’s expecting her husband to match that energy. What she gets instead is the most Peter Griffin response possible.

Filled with absurd comedy, perfect timing, and that classic Family Guy twist, this scene flips every romantic expectation on its head. For a split second, Peter looks like he’s about to be the main character. Then reality hits. Or in this case, a pillow hits. With Peter passing out mid-seduction, the show delivers peak anti-climax humor that only Seth MacFarlane could write.

Family Guy has always mastered the art of the bait-and-switch joke. This moment is pure situational comedy: the setup promises one thing, the payoff delivers the complete opposite. It’s relatable, it’s dumb, and it’s why the show has stayed iconic for 20+ years. Peter isn’t just tired — he’s every husband who picked the wrong time to tap out.

🎬Wonder Woman 1984 (2020) | Warner Bros. Pictures

This is why Wonder Woman is THAT girl. You’ve got Pedro Pascal’s Maxwell Lord speeding away in a military convoy thinking he’s safe. Then Diana Prince shows up on foot. She runs down the entire convoy, jumps from truck to truck, and lands on the windshield of his armored car like it’s nothing. The look on his face says it all — he knows he messed up. She’s not here to fight. She’s here to stop a world-ending threat and she only has seconds to do it.

She gets right in his face through the glass and delivers the line that changes everything: “Lord, you’re putting yourself and everyone else in grave danger. I need you to give me the stone.” No powers. No lasso. Just raw intensity from Gal Gadot. You can see Maxwell Lord panic because he knows the Dreamstone is corrupting him. He stutters: “What happened to it?” That’s when you realize this isn’t a superhero fight. It’s an intervention. Diana is trying to save him from himself before he destroys the world with a wish.

This Wonder Woman 1984 scene went viral because it’s peak superhero tension without a single punch thrown. It’s all acting, stakes, and that 80s practical action. Gal Gadot sells the desperation, Pedro Pascal sells the fear, and you’re holding your breath the whole time. If you had the Dreamstone, what would you wish for? And could you give it up? 👇
