🌊🌧️ Our Gzira Clean-Up was definitely one of our wettest yet! We kicked off the day with beautiful sunshine ☀️ as our divers pulled up multiple zibel bags filled with waste collected from their dive the day before. They also retrieved some hefty metal poles and other heavy debris, totaling 1,476.74 kg. ⚙️💪 Our land volunteers worked tirelessly to sort through the waste, separating any ropes attached to metal fragments. Impressively, we collected 842 glass bottles during this clean-up, contributing to a whopping total of 640.46 kg of marine waste, including 417.80 kg of metal and 28.84 kg of plastic. Additionally, a total of 250.90 kg of mixed waste was also collected. 🥤🌊 As the weather took a dramatic turn and heavy rain poured down ☔, our incredible team didn’t let that stop them. After a brief break, they persevered through the storm and even managed to pull out a sunken boat! What heroes! 🛥️✨ A huge thank you to everyone involved, including our sponsors Kunsill Reġjonali Lvant and Gzira Local Council. Together, we’re making a real impact! It Starts With YOU! 🌱💚 #GziraCleanUp #MarineConservation #Teamwork #Zibel #CleanSeas #CommunityAction #KunsillRegjonaliLvant #GziraLocalCouncil #ItStartsWithYou #ProtectOurOceans #VolunteerPower #SustainableLiving #TrashTag #EcoWarriors #TogetherWeCan 🌍❤️
