After living three years in Belgium, my friend Sunyoung and her family are moving back to South Korea today. She shared with me, two days ago when we were about to say goodbye, how much gratitude she feels and that she was surprisingly not sad. “ I opened my heart fully during these three years and I received so much”. She has experienced her time in Belgium fully as many expats do. Trying new things, meeting new people, say YES to all invitations, saying YES to driving a long drive to discover something new even for a few hours but most of all, she connected deeply with friends and has created an extended family around them that will last forever. This woman is an inspiration to me, her generosity amazed me. She takes every chance to serve, to support with a child or when you get a cold, she brings a smile to your face and she does that with so much Grace. We could just be seated together and feel connected despite our different language, culture and stories. It is a Soul connection and it’s precious. She brought peace and laughters to my daily life and I will miss her and her family around in the neighborhood. The boys will all miss her delicious Korean seaweed snacks as well. 😎 Today, I am feeling all the feels. Today, I am celebrating friendship. Today, I am celebrating you, notre Jeune Soleil. ☀️ . 🌎 💓I love you. 💓 🌎 #expatlife #loveiseverywhere #todayistheday #newadventure #deepening #deepconnection #heartconnection #soulconnection #soulsister #gratitude #celebratingfriendship #mercilavie
