While I was skating, I noticed some kids running after me with excitement. I stopped to interview them, expecting them to say they were having fun. But their response caught me off guard. 🥹

When I asked if they were having with the way they were happy running after me they told me no, because their daddy hadn’t bought them roller skates. 💔

That moment touched my heart. These kids weren’t just chasing me; they were chasing a dream they wished they could experience themselves.

It reminded me that not every child has the opportunity to enjoy the things that make them happy.

MY DREAM IS BIGGER THAN SKATING. 🛼🌍

I want to inspire young people, create opportunities, and help children who dream of skating but cannot afford their own skates.

If you have old skates in good condition, can donate a pair, or want to support this mission, let’s work together to put smiles on more children’s faces. ❤️

Every child deserves a chance to roll! 🛼🔥
“One day, I hope every child who dreams of skating gets a chance to roll.

Last week we were invited to speak at the National Play Conference at the University of Warwick.

A big thank you to @playengland and SAPCA for inviting us to speak and also bringing together so many people who care about play to explore new ways to champion it. The day started with a look at what’s been secured for play so far, what’s being asked of Government next, and what we can all do to help move things forward.

We spoke about an exciting project we’ve been working on with @creativecrawley . We’ve recently secured a substantial amount of funding from Arts Council England and are now looking to match-fund this to help bring the first-ever National Festival of Play to life for 2027!

The Festival is all about how we can use play to shape the places we live, work and spend time in.
Bringing together artists, communities, schools, designers, businesses and civic partners, the Festival will explore how play can become a more visible and accepted part of everyday life and how it should be designed into the fabric of towns and cities. You can read more about it in this months Play Nation article (pg. 52): https://surli.cc/waoufg

There’s still lots of work to do, and multi-arts festivals take a lot of people coming together to make them happen. But once they get going, they can build real momentum, attract wider investment and help kickstart lasting change in places that have too often been left behind. Just look at Blackburn with the Festivial of Making and First Light Festivial in Lowestoft.

If you’re excited about what play can do for people and places, we’d love to hear from you. Whether you can help with funding, make a few introductions, bring a partner on board or share ideas, we’re all ears. Every bit of support helps us get this off the ground!

😂🛼🚴‍♂️ WHEN SKATING MEETS CYCLING ON THE STREETS OF LAGOS! 🔥

I was just out skating, enjoying my freedom, when this guy on a bicycle called me over to hold his bike while he rode it! 😂🤣 I said, why not? Let’s make some memories! 📹🔥

Sometimes, the best moments are the ones you never planned. Just pure vibes, street energy, and two different wheels moving as one! 🛼🤝🚴‍♂️❤️

Life is better when you roll with good vibes! 😎💯

Who else loves this kind of street connection? 😂👇

🌍 A MESSAGE TO THE WORLD FROM A SKATER IN NIGERIA 🇳🇬🛼

I’ve been skating for years—not because it has been easy, but because skating is my passion, my lifestyle, and a part of who I am.

I’ve trained, performed, supported young skaters and promoted skating in my community, but honestly, doing this without proper support has been difficult.

I’m reaching out beyond Nigeria today. To skaters, brands, sponsors, organizations and individuals around the world: if you believe in talent, passion and grassroots sports, I’m asking you to support my journey in any way you can.

Support could be:
🛼 Skates or skating equipment
👕 Clothing & protective gear
💰 Sponsorship or financial support
📸 Media/content opportunities
🎬 Performance & modelling opportunities
✈️ Opportunities to attend international events
🤝 Partnerships with skating brands
📢 Simply sharing my story with someone who can help

I’m not asking for sympathy. I’m asking for an opportunity.

I’ve kept skating even when there was little or no support. I believe that with the right opportunity, I can take my skating to another level and inspire many more young people.

If you are outside Nigeria and would like to support, collaborate or connect with me, please DM me.

🌍🛼 Let’s take the journey beyond borders.
