We did the thang! A long, tiring day but ended up being one for the ages. Music is medicine and we packed in 200+ of the most awesome reggae fans and family into @longboardbarandvenue in Pacifica and rammed that shit for @official_samory and @wisedem_band debut show in the Bay Area. Samory promised a shelling and he and the band did not disappoint. @kase.music opened with a fire set alongside @djzelus of @epicentersound but before that @djsmokeone of @kingofkingsreggae and @wblkmusic warmed up the crowd nice and proper and brought it between sets and after the show for another hour and fifteen minutes as we celebrated Smoky’s birthday until finally stopping around 1:15am. Haven’t had a night like that at Longboard in a minute and it felt great. The crowd was so wonderful tonight. They brought the vibes from the start and gave both Ka$e and Samory I a wicked welcome. @rastastevie was his usual masterful self hyping the crowd and @shownuffent held down his @shownuffradio show all night. Chef Tony and his wife had that smackin @everythingsmokingbbq all night until closing.

As I sat at the door I could hear the crowd singing Samory’s songs with him and could see his joy for performing. After performance he and his wife stayed to greet every last person at the merch table. This young man is a breath of fresh air in the reggae scene. He and his wife are two of the warmest, sweetest, most joyful persons in the music and I’m just so delighted and grateful to both @eryn707 and @elgeeproductions for giving me the opportunity to present this show. So many of the reggae family came out for this one and it renews me so much to give and receive love from the faces I’ve known over the years. If you came tonight, comment and share a thought in the comments.

The biggest thanks goes out to all my Longboard family, Migs for letting me bring shows to the venue, the bartenders(Dave, Jenn, Mike), Mimi and security helping me at the door, and of course Alec our engineer, the man who makes it all work and sound stellar. Fantastic job tonight fam!

TBT Aug 4, 2024 @reggaeontheriver was such a memorable experience for me. Full circle moments from attending this festival as a kid to performing on the main stage with my band mates. Life is crazy, but so wonderful too. Shout out to all my fans and friends who made this day an unforgettable one on the journey.
