From the way he speaks normally I can infer one of two things:
1: the actor isn't actually deaf
or 2: the actor or character went deaf later on in life

Also, speaking louder wouldn't do anything for a deaf person.

How did he get away with saying the word tantilizing on a show like this with a minor two chairs down?

And that marks the end of my dirty rotten summer with these dirty rotten scoundrels 🌴🍸

It was a whirlwind of an experience where I learned that I could go so much further than I ever imagined I could, and made connections with so many ridiculously hilarious and talented people I can now call friends. ‘Til next time Chemainus! It was a ball and a blast.

Love, the mime

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.

Another summer @chemainustheatre and another summer on Vancouver island.

A summer full of more friendship, laughter, and sunsets than I could ever dream of.

In the words of Mary Oliver in her poem “The Summer Day”:
I don’t know exactly what a prayer is.
I do know how to pay attention, how to fall down
into the grass, how to kneel down in the grass,
how to be idle and blessed, how to stroll through the fields, which is what I have been doing all day.
Tell me, what else should I have done?
Doesn’t everything die at last, and too soon?
Tell me, what is it you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?

I love my friends.
I love working with good people.
I love making people laugh.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels at Chemainus Theatre Festival. It was a ball, it was a blast, it was a shame it couldn’t last!

I fell in love with BC, with Vancouver Island, with playing Lawrence, with David Yazbek, and the incredible cast and crew.

Thanks to Mark DuMez for bringing me out. I’d be honoured to come back sometime. Goodbye, @chemainustheatre. It was a magical time.

Second Chemainus summer complete, and it was one for the books! ✔️

First swing contract, and here are the stats:
went on for 2/4 swing tracks, did 5 performances in full tracks, 4 performances in half tracks, and spent so many hours watching the archival that the scale broke and it couldn’t be calculated.

Being a swing was a new challenge, but the assurance I built in myself and my abilities was worth all of the blocking numbers floating around in my head constantly! The support I received on this contract meant so much to me, and I couldn’t have done it without all my icons ❤️ It was a ball, it was a blast, it was an exhilarating, crazy and incredibly rewarding experience. Going to miss these scoundrels! ✨(iykyk with the last photo)
