A magical day of capturing video with @raulsecajr 🎥 at McKinney Falls
We were talking about how hard it is to shift out of the fast pace we all have to keep up with, and reconnect to the slowness of nature. Just being out here was a shift. Gazing at the waters, hearing the birds, contacting the ground with bare feet….

The upcoming album, The More Than Human World, is all about this reconnection.
More moments to share soon

Time to share the artwork by the wonderful @danzdance for the upcoming album, The More Than Human World, which will be released this fall. Thank you Leah for your work!

The More Than Human World is Andrea’s soon to be released ambient music album that is a collection of long form sonic journeys based on bio-electric fluctuations of plants. Andrea recorded live interactions of harp, voice, synth, and her house plant via MIDI plant sensors, translating the plant’s bioactivity into musical notes. The album functions as a sonic bridge between species. It invites the listeners to step outside of rigid, fast-paced human busyness and synchronize with the slowness and vast time frames of the natural world.

The More Than Human World project catalyzes into a series of immersive community events based on Andrea’s musical work. Designed to help us slow our internal rhythms and reconnect with the living earth, this project centers on the idea that human life is inextricably woven into a much larger, vibrant ecological tapestry.

🪴 This project is funded in part by the Austin Live Music Fund.

One week ago, my 200h Yoga Teacher Training with @love.and.all.is.coming came to an end, and I’m still not quite able to put into words how grateful I am that I got to be part of it🙏🏼

If I had to choose one highlight, it would be experiencing @talia_sutra live and learning from her, a teacher, practitioner and human being who deeply respects and honors the origins and traditions of yoga. Her biography, her character, and the way she shares her knowledge while holding space for all of us is truly inspiring. The same goes for the incredible tutors and guest teachers (@lailaelidrissi_ @krystinakodesh @the_school_of_pranayama) she chose to have by her side🤗

What made this training so special, beyond this, was the clear structure and discipline of our daily life there. Every day we had ten hours of program, including morning practice, posture clinic, practice teaching and feedback, philosophy lectures, meditation, mantra, and kirtans. Before arriving, we had already completed online introductions to anatomy, yoga philosophy, and ayurveda. Also our meal times were clearly structured, and between 6pm and 8:30am we were fasting. And still, I was full of energy almost every single day. Never hungry, never unfocused. We got so much out of every single day, and it never once felt repetitive. It’s been a long time since I felt so present as I did during this training, and there are a lot of things I will carry into my own life going forward🌱

Lastly, I have to mention the fantastic community. Everyone there was so warm and open. We were a wonderfully international and diverse group, which led to so many inspiring conversations. I had the feeling that everyone felt completely comfortable being exactly as unique as they are. What could be more beautiful than coming together with people from all over the world, so different from one another, yet united in one shared goal: to experience yoga in all its facets, to integrate it in our daily lives and to create a positive impact for ourselves and for all living beings. What a mindblowing experience!🤍✨
