In October, our most engaged article came from @ravenatadesk21. Steph Gilford is a programme manager of English and Maths in an FE college in the West Midlands, as well as an English teacher whose practice hinges on inclusivity. This was Steph's second article for Fusion! #SummerRewind

How gorgeous are these crochet dresses for Sofia’s little crochet mouse? 🐭👗 All packed beautifully into a mini suitcase... I genuinely cannot cope with the cuteness! 🧳✨ Turns out this mouse loves fashion just as much as I do! 🤣😅

Thanks so much @ravenatadesk21 you are so talented and creative!

✨ Do you like it? ✨

As with all parent projects, this one has taken months, and there are still little bits I’d love to add. One magical detail would be a fairy door somewhere…🧚‍♀️ If you know any small businesses that make or create/ sell beautiful fairy doors, please tag them below!

I’m also imagining a special home for Sofia’s crocheted mouse from the wonderful @ravenatadesk21 , that would be the sweetest little corner 🐭💕

I was so worried about how bright the walls were originally but I feel like it’s all come together and the furnishings soften it down. I also love how we have managed to incorporate the cushion and the little rabbit that we had made out of her Grandad’s shirts- now he will always be close to her 🪽🩷 My mum’s handmade marshmallow blanket goes perfectly too 💜 She’s so talented @wendyhousecreations

Huge shoutout to @crmflooring , the carpet is so dreamy and soft, and the service was wonderful as always.

Thank you for following along with this transformation, I know it’s taken me a while to post it 😆

A little fairy magic from the weekend ✨🧚💚

Loved creating this beautiful Tinkerbell glitter tattoo at our recent market - and proving that glitter tattoos aren’t just for kids 😉✨

So lovely meeting fellow local businesses @ravenatadesk21 💖

It’s lovely to welcome back @ravenatadesk21 to #Fusion! This month, Stephanie writes about the limitations of conventional #ActiveListening for neurodivergent students. It’s a thought-provoking piece, which draws on her classroom experience.

What ideas can you add to Steph’s wisdom?

Manchester obviously well know for its tropical climate ….. 🤣

Group coaching.
Not always comfortable.
Not always fun.
Always honest.
Always a great opportunity to create some team glue.

#1448wolverhampton was one of the best weekends I’ve had in a very long time!

Writing two plays, and seeing them properly produced, rehearsed and performed all in 48 hours was such an insane experience! I thoroughly LOVED every single moment of it.

I met some incredibly lovely, supportive, and passionate people; and I found a discipline that I am very excited to explore!

Thank you @franface for convincing me to go! I’m afraid I may become a regular attendee!

🎥 Which Book Wednesday 🎥

YES 👏🏼 It’s that time of the week! #whichbookwednesday from my girl @laurareadthat 🤩

This week, Laura’s asked us to find a book we’d most like to see made into a film or TV adaptation 🎞 🍿

I couldn’t chose between these two; they would make the BEST films. I loveeee movies based on true stories, so these unbelievable non-fiction novels fit the bill perfectly for me.

A Woman of No Importance was my favourite book of 2020 - about an undercover spy during WWII who was harder than any man I’ve ever heard of! She was mentally and physically superhuman 🤯 climbing mountains that few survive in order to escape capture.. yet she only had ONE LEG 😱 unreal!

The Spy And The Traitor (fave book this year, so far) would make a class film too! Not too dissimilar to my first pick either; Spies during WWII. This one is about a KGB agent who works his way high up the Russian ranks but spies for MI6 (not for money, for principle) and stops all hell from breaking lose - unbelievable espionage!!!

I cannot recommend these two books enough, they are so action packed; they read as a thriller which makes you forget at times, that this actually happened!!
