Directed by **S. S. Rajamouli** and written by **V. Vijayendra Prasad**, *Vikramarkudu* (2006) is a landmark Telugu action-masala film starring **Ravi Teja** in a powerful dual role alongside **Anushka Shetty**. The narrative follows Athili Sathi Babu, a carefree, small-time thief in Hyderabad who suddenly finds himself burdened with caring for a young girl who believes he is her father. Things take a dramatic turn when he discovers that her actual father is his exact look-alike—ASP Vikram Singh Rathore, a ruthless, legendary cop who sacrificed everything to fight the tyrannical crimelord Bavuji and his brother Titla. Renowned for its blend of slapstick comedy, intense action sequences, iconic dialogues, and M. M. Keeravani's energetic background score, the film stands out for Ravi Teja’s starkly contrasting performance as both the comedic thief and the intimidating IPS officer. Beyond becoming a massive commercial success in Telugu cinema, *Vikramarkudu* went on to achieve iconic status across Indian cinema, inspiring six successful remakes in multiple languages, including *Rowdy Rathore* in Hindi and *Siruthai* in Tamil.

Ooo manikanta 😭🙏🏻

🎥The story of the 2026 Telugu action-thriller film Irumudi follows Trinath (Ravi Teja), a devoted yet flawed middle-class father in an Andhra Pradesh village who battles alcoholism and a violent past. [1, 2, 3]

Main Plot and Storyline

The Father-Daughter Bond: Trinath's entire world revolves around his wife, Kaveri (Priya Bhavani Shankar), and his young daughter, Manikanta/Manemma (Baby Nakshathra).

Ayyappa Deeksha: At his daughter's request and in search of personal redemption, Trinath undertakes the sacred Ayyappa Deeksha (wearing the Ayyappa mala). The title Irumudi refers to the two-compartment sacred bundle carried by Ayyappa pilgrims, symbolizing the two knots/sides of his journey (family/devotion versus the battle against dark forces).
