Hey travel friends! 🍷

The second stop on my Pacific Northwest trip was the Willamette Valley for... you guessed it... WINE!

@foxfarmvineyards : We got a personal tasting with the owner, David, who gave us so much background on each wine. We thoroughly enjoyed the Rosé.

@argylewinery : Just a short walk across the parking lot was our second stop. Thanks to @suchasagittarius_66 and @dovely26 , I got an advance tasting, so I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed. It was a beautiful day with a great vibe, and the Pinot Noir was amazing.

@redmillsmarket Lunch was delicious. They make simple delicious.

@archerysummit : Next up, and the view was to die for! The wine was just as amazing.

@rawcider : We finished the day here. They have something for everyone, and the whole staff was so fun.

Rooted in the Valley: Spice

In August, my husband and I attended a cider pairing dinner at Raw Cider’s beautiful orchard in partnership with Thistle. This was the last pairing of the summer, and the theme was spice.

Each course was astounding, and of course, thoughtfully paired with a beautiful cider. Spices were integrated into each dish, with the main course being a giant family-style spread of barbecue. Everything was incredible, and my favorite pairing was the appetizer: oysters and salmon candy paired with sparkling perry.

Raw Cider is one of my absolute favorite makers and I can’t wait to go to more of these next summer.

Great day hanging with these folks! We’ve been spending a lot of time documenting harvest lately. Grapes, apples, pumpkin spice lattes… you name it, we’re probably pointing a camera at it. 🍎🍏

One of our favorite times of year to be out making things with great people.

It’s been a busy month working with some amazing folks across the wine and cider world who are right in the thick of harvest, along with coffee shops settling into their fall menus.

For the thousands of photos we take, so many inevitably end up getting lost somewhere in a Google Drive. So we got ourselves a @fujifilm_instax_northamerica Polaroid camera to slow things down a little and create more tangible timestamps of the people, places, and projects we get to work with.

A little reminder that not every photo needs to be a deliverable. Some are just worth keeping around. 📸

hit this cider place in Dayton, Oregon. this one - Cat LaRoux Pet Nat was the yummiest of the bunch. The tasting room manager was a pretty cool dude. if youre up in wine country in Oregon (willamette Valley) ya gotta hit this cider place to cleanse your pallet. 😆.

I got the opportunity to visit @rawcider for the first time yesterday - it was a long time coming!

Their tasting room & cidery is situated on a small parcel of orchard fields, astride 99W, on the north side of Dayton, OR.

The cider itself - ranging from their core perries, single varietals, and pet nats, to their luscious estate blends, were all so deliciously balanced and complex. It's no wonder they were the 2026 Small Cidery of Year at the @nwcider Cup and awarded 8 medals at @glintcap in 2025.

Definitely worth checking out while in Wine Country 🍏
