On the 222nd day of the year finally marks 2 years clean. You can make a lot of shit happen in 2 years. Back when I was fried everyday, 2 years flew by and I’d look back like damn… tf did I do with all that time??

Now I look at the 2 years that just passed in awe reminding myself how I’ve done so much for myself and those around me in that period. I’m amazed only that much time has passed.

So many moments to be present, to be attentive, and thankful for the ones around you that are still alive. I’ve lost some real ones through this journey and I’m so grateful to be able to cope with the pain in a healthy manner rather than suppressing every emotion.

Uncover deeper rooted feelings, truths, or emotions within yourself. I’m grateful for being clean but I constantly must work on understanding and unlearning the behaviors I adopted when I used that can sneak up on me. If I forget where I came from I’m doomed to repeat the cycle. The journey continues♾️
To everyone supporting and loving me through the chaos, thank you.

I wrote a post to go with these photos late Friday night, I was going to post Saturday morning. When I was writing the post I was struggling to find the right words. I remember thinking when everyone reads this they have to know how great of a year Shah and the team had, and how proud of him I am.

Never did I imagine it would turn into the last time seeing him and Sushi. I’m still at a loss for words.

my best friend. what an honor it was to be able to call you that. we met when we were 9 — from little league football, to finding our love for music together, recording our first songs, performing at talent shows, moving to LA together, eating my mom’s chicken adobo — you were always by my side. from every stage to every milestone. you were more than my friend, you were my brother.

you were so loved. you impacted so many people’s lives along the way, and that’s what was so special about you.

i’m still struggling to come to terms with you being gone. this got me fucked up fr. but i know you walking with the lord now, reunited with all the homies we lost along the way. i love you forever bro. i can’t wait to tell shiloh about the man you were.

you and shah did not deserve this. i pray that justice is served. 🕊️
