This weekend was another powerful reminder of what makes the Eastern Province the Flagship Province. From fellowship to fundraising to community engagement, our chapters continue to lead with purpose and excellence.

Congratulations to the Upper Marlboro/Waldorf (MD) Alumni Chapter on another outstanding Annual Crab Feast, the Foundation of College Park/Sandy Spring (MD) Alumni Chapter for hosting a successful Golf Tournament in support of scholarships and community initiatives, and the Silver Spring (MD) Alumni Chapter for bringing brothers, families, and supporters together for a memorable community cookout..

Building character. Building brotherhood. Building the future.

Last week (Monday, July 6 through Saturday, July 11), the STEM4US! team was incredibly proud to support Kamp Kappa out in Haymarket, VA!

Salutes to our incredible supporters, Darrold Hamlin and Horace Ward, who stepped up in a major way to help STEM4US! provide a huge pizza dinner and invaluable hands-on mentoring to dozens of young men at the camp. 🍕

When we show up for our youth, they show up for their communities.

But the work doesn’t stop when camp ends! Right now, we are gearing up for our biggest event of the summer: The STEM4US! Virtual Ag-Tech Hackathon (August 14-16)!

We are actively training the next generation of innovators in AI, coding, and urban farming right before they head back to school. 💻🌱

HELP US REACH OUR $40K GOAL!

If you love seeing our youth thrive, double-tap this video ❤️, tag a friend in the comments, and hit the link in our bio to become a Hackathon Sponsor today. Let’s fund the future together! 🚀

The Eastern Province is proud to support our Brother Colin Kaepernick and his visionary initiative to advance literacy through the power of AI with Lumi.

When Prince George's County Board of Education Chair Brandon Jackson requested support, Province Polemarch Richard B. Mattox issued the call to action and the Brothers answered. Through collective service and commitment to empowering future generations, chapters from across the Province came together to support this impactful effort.

Thank you to every chapter and Brother who contributed their time, resources, and energy to help expand literacy opportunities for our youth. Together, we continue to exemplify Achievement in Every Field of Human Endeavor.

Today was the LAST event of Quinton's senior year "May-rathon" and mama is ti-YERD! 😓

However, you know I can't pass up the opportunity to give Mr. President his flowers! Tonight he co-hosted the Student Recognition and Achievement Ceremony on behalf of the Kappa Foundation of Prince George’s County. As President of the Hyattsville Landover Kappa League chapter, he represented the chapter well. The Foundation gave scholarships to eight students, including Quinton, who was blessed with a $5,000 scholarship from the foundation. 🙌🏾🙌🏾 He also won the Leadership Award.

The year is not over yet but it's amazing to see how he's grown and developed through the years with Kappa League. May you take all the leadership and service lessons into your next chapter.

Today the Annapolis (MD) Kappa League joined the Hyattsville/Landover (MD) Kappa League for our monthly meeting. We kicked things off with camaraderie and bonding during an activity called Paradox Relays before getting down to business.

We were honored to host my friend @lpoteatjr . Larry, a DC native and founder of Sitra Consulting, Sitra Real Estate, and Sitra & Associates, taught our Kappa Leaguers about budgeting, wants vs. needs, savings, and how to make smart money decisions early.

Thank you, Larry, for sharing your time and expertise with our young men today.

If you missed our Math Carnival Night last night you missed a BIG ONE! It was SO AMAZING to see our community come together last night to engage in Math and Numeracy! We had all ages, sizes, and species represented. 🥰🤣

Many thanks to all the parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles, cousins, etc. that made sure our students had a great time. We will PROPERLY thank all our community partners in a dedicated post but big love to you all!

And to our staff who came - we thank you for your time and commitment to our scholars.

Lastly, we want to thank Mrs. Lisa Smith, our Mathematics Chair, for bringing this signature event BACK to the Lion's Den! We are grateful for your advocacy and passion for Mathematics!
