another year, another beautifulllllll @hitpatlanta in the books 🧡🧡🧡 SUCH good vibes (as usual), celebrating life, celebrating my favorite virgo and dedicated HITP partner @raytheedreamer 🥳, reuniting with family and old friends (both expected and by wonderfulllll surprise), and just dancing/singing/SWEATING the day away ✨ I love house music 😭🫶🏽

this is my 4th time attending now. first time I went was by accident: I was evacuated in Atlanta after hurricane Ida and invited by someone to attend since I happened to be in town. been hooked ever since! as long as @hitpatlanta keeps hosting, you will find me there every Labor Day weekend, getting my whole life on the dance floor 🤌🏽✨

All I can say is this … I am NOT someone who is easily impressed .. Beyonce really IS something special ! My goodness , that woman sang and performed QUALITY for 2.5 hours while @tlove_her and I danced and sang like kids 🤣😎lol. It was a great moment of joy in all that is happening outside of ourselves these days. I am full in spirit and joy after tonight . #cowboycartertour #atlanta #beyoncé #mercedesbenzstadium #nightout #modeling #explorepage✨

I’ve been allowing myself to express myself without the limitations I set on myself … it brought me to this point and I really enjoy when I am in this head space . This piece came as what felt like a “ Father & Son “ type concept. The irony in that is I’ve had my father on my mind heavy lately . As I continued to paint , I started to feel the characters speak more to reparenting / shadow work as a theme . Specifically to the intersection of how healing your inner child / self is much like raising a child . You walk yourself through the things that were tough / dark for you to bring forward the best you . Is this man showing his son the way ? Or is he showing his inner child the way ? 🧐 You tell me 😌 . #artistsoninstagram #art #blackandwhite #painting #reel #shadowwork #artbasel

A weekend full of celebrating People, Art & Life. Congratulations to my dear friend @jesscx__ on your first of many great art exhibitions! It was a pleasure being able to support you and be supported equally. You are surrounded by such a great community girl 🫶🏽. Plus, the wine hit the spot! 😂🥂 More times like these! ♾️

✨ a life dump ✨ been remembering the sweet in life this past two weeks. grateful for a long memory, long enough to remember that I’ve made it through every single rough patch I’ve ever experienced. grateful for friends that affirm me 🥹 grateful for my lil three legged kitten I’m fostering, and how he’s reconnected me to joy. grateful for brass bands! impossible to wallow in pain when you’re in the presence of one. grateful for art and the way it fills me with purpose. grateful for sugar cakes, but especially sugar cakes that come into your life completely by surprise (that’s an iykyk, Bajans addition 🇧🇧). I’ve been through a wholeeeee lot these past months, but whew, still here, and so glad I didn’t give up when I wanted to. anyway, here’s some pictures lol.

NOLA! Happy to share that my tufted wall hanging “Rendezvous #2” was included in the group exhibition “TONGUE AND GROOVE” at @goodchildrengallery ☺️ it’ll be up til 9/4 and you can visit it and the rest of the amazing art in this show Saturdays and Sundays from 12-5pm ✨

so grateful to the curators Scott Andresen and Sadie Sheldon for choosing to have me in this show (and for putting it together in record timing!) 🥹 wasn’t that long ago that I was fighting imposter syndrome, afraid to call myself an artist. glad that’s over lol. I’m hereeee, bitch!
