Brand new day, brand new logo (backstory in comments)! I silently started using it because I could not wait to do my fancy announcement, but you need to be properly introduced! I needed something that represented for all of the stages and screens that you would see it in. The font of the slogan has a more ritual, feel to be a not to my African heritage and to griots. The comedy/drama masks have a tribal look because I always try to be #creativefortheculture . My brand color identity is red, white and black. And I think it’s obvious what I was going for in my dancer silhouettes. More of the same, representing. ✊🏾 The movements of the dancer silhouettes, I wanted to be a combination of movements you could see in Ballet, Jazz or African: the three styles I am most inspired by and choreograph. (Concept brainstormed by @wrightcreativefactory ) This is what I described to @rayjr17 my friend, artist and graphic designer, and this is what he gave me. He has a great neck for taking my thoughts and giving me exactly what I pictured. MsDevotedTiff & MsDevotedTiff Productions was operating before I even gave it a name. It certainly didn’t have a logo (backstory in comments). So when it was time to go to film festivals and I needed a title slide and something for credits, I just took a logo I got made (unfinished by the way they never came back with anything else after their first draft) for @msdevotedtiff and slapped the word productions under it… sometimes. It was time to level up and thanks to talented artist and graphic designer @rayjr17 my vision for it (brainstormed via @wrightcreativefactory ) came to life! It’s so me! I’ve never had someone be able to take EXACTLY what I was picturing and do it. I loved working with him. The breakdown: The pencil and paper for the scripts, books and screenplays I write, the dancer for the dance visuals we produce, the lightbulb for the creativity and creative direction, the film for the movies baby!!, and the pen because being a producer means signing other peoples checks and endorsing the ones you cash. #creativefortheculture #creativedirector #productioncompany #msdevotedtiffproductions #msdevotedtiff #companynews #companylogo #rebranding

Even while I’m currently experiencing the hardest/darkest time of my life. God still continues to give me reasons to smile. Sending my love to all who are mourning a loss of a sibling.
