We celebrated the first fifteen years of the practice this week with friends, team members past and present, and a lot of oysters. Thanks to everyone who came to the studio and the many others who sent well wishes! To be in a room with so many supporters, participants, and inspirations is beyond incredible. The community around the work is the greatest thing about the work. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Last week we visited a past project. I’m very proud of the way that it’s held up. #timelessdesign

Apparently September is “Take a Man on a Date Month”… so naturally, I took y’all on a little design date instead. 😂😉🤎

Meet 5 men in interior design + architecture currently inspiring my creative eye:

✨ David Quarles IV — color, culture & personality
✨ Alvin Wayne — effortless, livable luxury
✨ Rayman Boozer — fearless color & pattern
✨ Michael Ford — where hip-hop, culture & architecture collide
✨ Bjarke Ingels — pushing the boundaries of what architecture can be

One thing about me…I’m always studying. 👀 I want to know the creatives who came before me, the ones doing it now, and the people challenging us to think differently about the spaces we live, work and gather in.

Because the more I learn, the more I can bring to YOUR space. 🏡✨

Now tell me… whose work are you following? Drop a name below because I’m always looking for more inspiration. 👇🏾

Have you hugged someone, touched grass, looked at art, helped a senior, had a champagne toast, cooked a lovely meal, DANCED, kissed (and other things😉), stretched, wore a bright color, read a book, newspaper or poem lately? Like in the last 72 hours? People! LFG🤩

I’m convinced it’s our only way out of this mess.

BTW, DM me if you’re interested in gardening and know little about it, like me. I want to plant things.

Step inside a Harlem duplex by @apartment48 that isn’t afraid of color or pattern — a green kitchen, a blue primary suite, and a living room wrapped in mural.

This is the first time I’ve ever posted a picture of this project. It’s one of my favorite living rooms. It’s variations of blue and white, but never boring.
