#ThrowbackThursday

Here’s a clip of our kids warming up back in 2018! We were at the old gym on the blue mats, and we hadn’t started splitting kids’ classes up by age yet. Everyone trained together in one big class.

It was packed, it was chaos, but it was AWESOME! 😂

Looking back at this clip makes me really appreciate how far we’ve come. A new facility, multiple mats, tons of kids’ classes split up by age, and continued growth week after week. It’s pretty amazing to see how much the program has evolved!

What’s really cool about this clip is that I can name and remember every single one of these students. Most of them no longer train with us, but a handful are still here today. Regardless of where life has taken them, these kids will always be a part of the journey that built the kids’ program at Hart Jiu Jitsu.

We appreciate every single one of them and the role they played in helping us get to where we are today. ❤️

Now, I’m going to go stretch because apparently, this post just aged me 10 years. 😆

This week at women’s class!

Coach Kasia and the crew went over rear naked chokes and different ways to expose their opponent’s chin!

This stuff is brutal but absolutely effective!

Learn cool stuff like this in a supportive environment!

First class is 🆓

Equinox blessings, friends! ✨🍂

“When summer fades, the old woods whisper: gather your magic, for autumn has come.” 🍁🧚‍♀️

Yesterday we gathered our whimsical faerie-goddess clothes, props & a little extra magic 🪄 and wandered into the woods to play dress-up with our friend and newly featured artist, @adamholzrichter 🌞

He captured these moments to weave into future paintings—and bringing our different stories, ideas & creativity together felt like its own kind of magic.

We’ll be sharing some of his photos soon… there were simply too many magical ones to choose from. 🥲✨

Creating together, in the woods, on the threshold of a new season… it all felt meant to be. 🌾🍂✨

A little glimpse into our fluttery faerie adventure yesterday! 🧚‍♀️✨

We started by photographing some beautiful new jewelry pieces that we can’t wait to add to the website—then fluttered over to Trader Joe’s for our favorite cinnamon brooms, mini pumpkins, gourds, pumpkin spice and everything nice! 🎃🧹🍂

And, of course, there were lots of laughs along the way…because mischief is what faeries do best, right? 🤭

Come visit us at the shop this weekend and soak up all the cozy autumn magic. Happy New Moon, friends! 🌑🧙‍♀️✨

Friday flutters around the shop… 🧚‍♀️

Tiny tarot decks have arrived! Fresh herbs are making their way to the apothecary, and we ended the day by offering our Full Moon Fluorite Water back to the river spirits. 🌊💙

Many folk traditions believe every river, spring, lake, and stream carries its own spirit or guardian. We love leaving a little gratitude wherever the water flows. ✨

Summerween Solstice magic was in full bloom last weekend, and our hearts are still glowing.

A huge thank you to our beloved witches next door at Preserved Peculiarities for hosting such a whimsical celebration for your 1 year and bringing our Riverside Drive community together. From sunshine and elderflower to crystals, curiosities, and laughter, the day was absolutely wonderful.

To everyone who stopped by, shopped small, and soaked up the good vibes with us—thank you. Your support and beautiful energy make this little corner of magic so special.

Here’s to long summer days, blooming dreams, and all the adventures still waiting to unfold. 🌞🌿✨

new moon magic was alive in the apothecary this weekend ✨
completely unplanned~completely perfect.
we followed the pull, let intuition lead, and spent the day alchemizing new infusions beneath all the rich taurus moon energy 🧚‍♀️🌹

this batch carries notes of tonka bean, fresh roses, earth, warmth & sweetness — little experiments turning into future magic. now we let them rest, steep, and transform for the next few weeks before the next phase begins ✨

there is something so special about trusting the moment when inspiration suddenly arrives. we can’t wait to share what these become 🌙🍓

New Moon in Taurus today 🌑✨
A reminder to slow down, romanticize your rituals, and plant intentions for the life you truly want to grow 🌿

We’ve been in the apothecary brewing fresh batches of our Dragonsblood & Topaz Ritual Alchemy Oils — one for transformation + protection, the other for radiance, confidence, and abundance magic 🕯️💫

Light the candle. Open the windows. Make the tea. Anoint your pulse points.
This moon is all about creating beauty, stability, and softness in your everyday life 🤎

What are you calling in this new moon? ✨ #newmoon #alchemy #ritual #faeries
