Who needs a boyfriend when…

…you have a silly best friend who makes you laugh, dances with you like your lover, and has already proposed to you more than once?

Dating while traveling can be 𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝. The amount of times I’ve been hit on within seconds of meeting someone is honestly ridiculous. Let’s be real — you’re not that excited to get to know me, you’re just thinking with one very specific organ.
 It may sound blunt, but that’s the reality of traveling as a woman.

And that’s why having a silly best friend by your side is worth more than any guy you’ll meet on the road.

A confession from a solo traveler ..

I solo-traveled for over a year and while I‘ve always been someone who enjoys her own company, doesn’t mind eating alone or goes on hikes by herself… I do have to admit: sometimes I wish there would be someone with me.

But in these moments I don’t want to travel with a random person from the hostel that I met 10 min ago. I want my friend. My best friend.

I’ve met so many incredible humans while traveling and while some actually became my best friends, most were people I parted ways with as soon as their two-day hostel stay ended.

That all changed when I stepped foot into my first co-living (@co404coliving). A place where people don’t stay for just a few days, but for weeks or months. You start living and laughing together, sharing stories and memories .. until it feels like you’ve known each other forever.

And after over a year of solo traveling that feeling of sharing a home with a bunch of my best friends became addictive. And honestly? I don’t know how to recover from that.

I tried to go to Colombia twice in 2021, but for different reasons, it just didn’t work out. Back then, I felt it was a sign from the universe, maybe it simply wasn’t the right time yet.
But since last year, something inside me started calling out. It felt like a deep pull, an intuition telling me that now was the moment. I began to picture the trip, to plan it little by little, and everything started falling perfectly into place, as if the universe was finally opening the way.
Today, all I can feel is gratitude. Gratitude for discovering this beautiful country, for all the experiences I’ve lived, for the amazing people I’ve met, and for the memories I’ll carry with me forever.

Eu tentei ir pra Colômbia duas vezes em 2021 e não consegui por coisas que aconteceram no momento. Senti que era um sinal do universo.

Já desde o ano passado, eu sentia uma vontade enorme, quase que como um chamado pra ir esse ano. Comecei a organizar a viagem na cabeça e tudo foi dando tão certo que eu senti que agora era pra ir mesmo.

E hoje eu só posso expressar gratidão, não só por ter conhecido esse país lindo, mas pelas pessoas incríveis que conheci e pelas memórias que criei nesses seis meses. Muchas gracias por todo, Colombia 🇨🇴🫶🏽
