One of the biggest misconceptions about event planning is that the timeline exists to keep everyone on schedule.

A well-designed timeline does far more than that. It creates space for the moments that matter most.

The extra five minutes to finish a conversation, the hug you didn’t have to cut short, the speech that had room to breathe, and the opportunity to be fully present throughout the day.

The timeline protects the moment. It doesn’t replace it.

A first birthday only happens once ⚾️

For JJ’s Rookie Year, every detail was designed to bring the theme to life - from the custom backdrop + balloon installations to the interactive touches that made the celebration feel personal and memorable for every guest.

One of my favorite parts of event design is finding ways to create moments that feel cohesive, intentional, and uniquely yours.

The “dream phase” is fun. Scrolling Pinterest, saving everything on IG, sending TikToks… I get it.

But there comes a point where more inspo actually starts working against you.

It’s easy to say “that’s cute”, but it’s harder to ask:
• does this make sense for the space?
• does it work with the overall design?
• does it fit with the timeline and flow of the event?

That’s where planning comes in.

My goal isn’t to recreate 15 different inspo photos in one event. It’s to design something cohesive that actually feels like you. And then back it with a plan that makes it all function.

Because if the layout is off, the timing is rushed, or vendors aren’t aligned… it doesn’t matter how good the inspo was.

At some point, it’s less scrolling and more decisions. Finding ideas is easy. Execution is where it counts.

One of my favorite parts of a wedding will always be the ceremony.

Everyone’s in one place, fully present, reacting in real time - it has a different energy than the rest of the day.

When it flows the way it should, you don’t have to think about anything. You just get to be in it

Hosting for Easter this weekend?

Here are a few things I always consider to make a space feel pulled together + easy to enjoy 💕

A well-designed space should feel full, but never crowded ✨

That was the goal here - creating something layered + inviting with room for guests to move, gather, and actually enjoy it. A mix of lounge + cocktail seating helped anchor the room and kept everything flexible.

It’s always more than just how it looks. It’s how it works.

Let’s talk about kids’ birthday parties.

It always starts the same - big ideas, saved inspiration, plans to DIY every little detail.

And then suddenly… the date is a week away, nothing is finished, and the stress sets in.

“I should’ve just hired someone.”

That’s where I come in - to take those ideas and turn them into something thoughtful, cohesive, and actually enjoyable from start to finish 🩵
