A huge thank you to everyone who braved the wild weather to join us in Rolleston for our Regulating the Storm: Helping Tweens & Teens Build Resilience parent workshop 🙌 We loved hearing how your whānau stay connected, and sharing practical ways to support teens through life’s ups and downs. A few key takeaways: Ask, “Do you want advice, or do you want me to listen?” If you feel like lecturing, ask a question instead. If a big information bomb drops, give yourself time to process before responding. Sometimes, staying calm, listening and guiding from the side can make all the difference in keeping communication open with our rangatahi. A big thanks to Sue and our youth tutor Julia for sharing their insights and practical tips! Coming up next: Is My Neurodivergent Kid Just Lazy? Understanding Executive Functioning with Jacqui Johnson and Pippa Bailey. We look forward to seeing you there - thanks to @selwyn_youth and @rccleicester RSVP link in the comments 👇 #rollestonnz #selwynnz #christchurchnz #parentingtips parentingteens
