Ronald, someone very special to me, passed away in 2022. For this year’s ofrenda I asked his mom what we should put out for him. She said he’d like music, basketball and something red to represent his favorite color. The next morning I went to a dark place just outside the basement door of our house to mess with the fuse box, a place I hardly ever go. There, among some fallen leaves, was a little red basketball. I miss you too, Ronald. It’s always good to see you.
