🛡️ Triple Flexion & Ground Force Absorption (3
Hinge the hips, knees, and ankles simultaneously to absorb incoming momentum instead of reaching forward with an upright torso.

Move like Phil Foden

- Body must be available to move either direction.

- As the ball comes, read the defender’s pressure.

- Open your body or close it back and push the ball out, pushing off the plant foot before touching the ball.

Work through repetitions, and it will look like it’s all happening at once.

🧠 The Mechanics of Change of Direction /
❌ Clunky Movement /
* When your foot lands flat, heavy, and in front of your body, it acts as a brake, killing all momentum.
✅ Fluid Movement /
* Your foot lands behind your center of mass to launch you like a spring, turning ground force into explosive acceleration via ankle stiffness.

💡 Look at Michael Olise’s movement at the end of the clip. He changes direction and beats the defender with a single step because he doesn‘t bleed any energy. If your gameplay feels sluggish, fix your mechanics first.
