I wasn't going to post so soon but last week Braddah Dyl from the "Hawai'i delegation" went a wee bit viral and we wanted to give him a shout out. @dylanchacelee knew exactly what was needed for one of Pa'akai's high school friends. Next to him sits the equally talented @maimasavusa. Make sure to come see Oli during HIFF--premiere date and other viewing dates coming soon!!

PART TWO: I’m 40!!!!!!!!!!!!

I handed my twenties to a purple cloud, willingly. And I packaged my thirties up in a Christmas present, wrapped with love, up all night and milky. Then smack dab in the middle I had my mastectomy. My husband told me recently how happy his memories are around that time because I was resting and needed him.

Grateful I have a man in my life who wants to be needed. As an Aries and a Texas woman, needing anyone is not my strong suit. But I need him, and my kids, and my sweet friends. And my best friend Maymay who flew across the country to dance with me!

This party was like walking on air. I was so wrapped in love. How good life is. I love Skimpies and our future. I love making women happy every day. I love playing 4 square with my kids after school and snuggling them at night. And our extravagant games of pretend. I’m blessed to have healthy parents and a strong faith. And you. I love you!

✨ Blessed to be in your orbit ✨

Let’s do it for 40 more years at least, promise?

PART ONE: I’m 40!!!!!

One of the best nights of my life. Thanks to all my friends who came to celebrate: I’ve been thinking a lot about why this night was so special. It’s hard to put into words. It felt a little bit like I was marrying myself. I’m 40, my kids can use the toilet, and who am I? I am fun, loving, loud, loyal, Texan, a mommy, a wife, a founder, honest, a good friend. I like me. It was a celebration of all I’ve done. I made it. And anyone who knew me as a teenager, maybe I shouldn’t have made it. I was dating 50 year olds and flying to LA. The last 10 years have been the best no question. With my kids and my hubby. Can’t wait to do it for at least 40 more, please.
