Meet Rachelle!

"I’m a graphic designer living in Manhattan. I enjoy drawing, hiking, and metal music. I’d describe myself as bubbly, creative, and an old soul. I'm always looking to experience new things and meet people who are passionate about what they do."

You may be wondering why Mazel Pups is posting this picture of a very cute dog, but which appears to have nothing Jewish about it. Well, it turns out that this dog, Chili, is a regular at Nice Jewish Runners (NJR). And Rachelle, from RDG Designs, not only designed the gaiter for NJR that Chili is wearing, but she also drew the picture of Chili. Mazel Pups loves that Chili is both an NJD (Nice Jewish Dog) and an NJR!

500 Days Since October 7th.

I’ve been holding off on sharing this, but today feels like the right moment. I am honored to have contributed to We're Not OK: Jewish + Ally Experiences Post 10/7, a book curated by @rdg_designs

Within its pages, I share a poem that poured from my soul—a reflection on grief, resilience, and the unbreakable spirit of our people.

Today marks FIVE HUNDRED days.

500 days of heartbreak.
500 days of resilience.
500 days of holding onto hope, even when the world feels unbearable.

There are still dozens of hostages who are not home. Nearly 73 individuals, including a baby and toddler are still being help captive in Gaza. Some we're not even sure if they're alive.

On October 7th, we were shattered. But out of the darkness, we rise. Like a phoenix, like our ancestors before us, like the embers of history rekindled into light.

🕯️ We remember every soul taken too soon (34 hostages deceased).
🕯️ We keep their names and faces in our hearts, and carry their stories forward.
🕯️ We will not forget. We will NOT be silent.

💙 Bring them home. Now. Alive. 💙

Chazak, Chazak, V’nitchazeik.
May we be strong, and may we strengthen one another.

Do you believe

💙 art can change the world
💙 beauty can be found in imperfection
💙 there is no wrong way to create
💙 sources of inspiration should be credited
💙 dialogue is greater than hatred
💙 there is space for everyone

Dear larger creators, don't steal the ideas and content from smaller creators to use it for your own gain.
That's not integrity.

Our work is an outlet to communicate.
We all share the same goal of using our work as conversation and dialogue; let's work together to achieve it 💪🇮🇱🎗💙✡
