Y E S!!!! This showed up for review today from DC Comics & Warner Bros Pictures. I know this one was released a little bit ago but coverage copies were a little delayed. I've generally enjoyed everything that James Gunn has done for the DC universe so far so I am extremely curious about Supergirl. I've definitely seen all kinds of mixed reactions from it. What did YOU think of it? I want to know, feel free to comment if this pops up in your feed/algorithm. Rob Hardy, ASC, BSC @rdhardy brought what he calls “the grunge of the real” to Supergirl @supergirl , directed by Craig Gillespie, pairing Panavision Auto Panatar @panavisionofficial anamorphic lenses with a Sony Venice 2 @sonycine main package. Hardy lit sets in a full 360-degree fashion, mixing Xenon and neon sources with tungsten lamps so that even off-world locations retained a sense of place. For the Vran house sequence, he operated the Ronin 4D remotely with Blazar anamorphics to shoot a near-dark fight in cramped domestic spaces.
