Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by at the market yesterday—whether you picked up some new tableware or simply came to say hi, it meant the world to me seeing the activity around my table.

With the kind words and support of the amazing potters who shared the space, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for being so kind. And to the Throwing Shapes team, it’s constantly a fun journey being involved with you all! @throwingshapes___ @stephenerrichardson @noelbyasceramics @rdoolan.art @musi_pottery_studio

This was my very first market and public sale, and we sold out just a few hours in! It was hectic, but also a lot of fun. I hope your new pieces made it home safely, even with my sometimes rushed wrapping! I wish I’d had more time to chat with each of you.

I’m taking a short break today but will dive right into planning for the next market held in December. I’m excited to share some new ceramic designs, and I’m hoping to include a limited collection of porcelain pieces as well.

Thank you again for supporting my ceramics journey. It’s been less than two years since I started working with clay or touched a wheel and I can’t wait to see what’s next!

Pull Up For Palestine 🇵🇸🕊️ 30.06.2024 @thegrandsocialdublin

I took the stage with @joycellomusic and joined some friends in this collective effort to raise money in aid of the Palestinian population.

Too many lives were lost in this madness, too many still will if we keep turning the other way. Living is a collective experience, and so is fighting for other peoples right to live. Let’s keep pressuring, let’s keep talking about it, let’s keep demanding action from our governments.

We owe it to the children, to the mothers, to the women and men of Gaza, of Palestine, of the world, of the planet we all live in, regardless of ethnicity, religion, cultures or beliefs.

Meet Roisin, a very talented up and coming artist. I asked her how she feels about everything that is going on right now.

Her words, "We’re all just figuring it out, it’s okay to not know what “it” is, but enjoy everything as much as you can, spread peace and love, who knows"

“This work is an exploration and attempt at a visual representation of the self, of the mind and an attempt at making the intangible, tangible. The three parts represent a three step thought process that I need to revisit every now and again. I started making this in the early hours of the morning, when sleep was eluding me and my mind had become full of loud, whirring, unwanted, incessant and destructive thoughts. This work is a product of chance and came about as I tried to take control by getting the thoughts from my head to the page. For someone who at times struggles with their mental health, I feel that it is vital to have a coping mechanism, and having art or creating things has always been a helpful outlet for me. But reminding myself of the good things in my life and listing the things I am grateful for helps a lot. So, what this is, I guess, is a type of self-analysis, an analysis of how I have worked through these tough times that lockdown has made seem tougher.”
