I’ll never forget my journey reading Throne of Glass. After half a year, I can’t believe I’m done?

Here’s my quick popcorn style review for the entire series.

Reading order? AB first all the way. I’ve seen hot takes about actually splitting up the novellas throughout the series and I might agree with it only because I didn’t remember much when ToD came about Yrene. Also, I would never suggest anyone to do the tandem read. Please appreciate ToD as its own piece of art!!

Fav Characters:
All my jokes aside about Daddy Arobynn, he is seriously such a great complex villain that beautifully complimented and brought out the best traits of Celaena. Every scene with Arobynn featured some of Maas’ best writing. Also, Yrene is a favorite for obvious reasons.

Least Fav: it’s not that I dislike Rowan, he was just insignificant to me. The blandest major MMC in a popular series. Sorscha. I really feel like her and Dorian’s storyline was weak compared to the significance it was supposed to hold in Dorian’s character arc.

Superlatives:
Most unexpected— I never expected Lysandra to become such a major badass character

Most Improved—Manon— from cold hearted violence to a kind hearted leader. I was torn between Manon or Chaol, but ultimately went with Manon because she was going up against higher stakes.

Coolest Powers—Rolfe and his map hands 😍

Best Duo—Aelin&Fenrys for obvious reasons. But Dorian/Chaol and Manon/Abraxos were close

Best HEA—Nesryn found her people, her man, AND herself. From lowly outsider to EMPRESS.

Best Setting—loved the Torre Cesme. The silent assassin’s desert was 2nd for me.

Best Quote—gosh there were SO many good quotes from this series BUT the one that had me the most SHOOK and GAGGED was definitely Dorian I’ll Bleed Whatever Color You Tell Me To Havilliard. As @chapters_of_mayhem said to me “THEE most CUNTIEST line in literature”. 🤣

Greatest Lesson— a little kindness goes a long way.

The world needs more kindness ❤️

Lastly, thank you to all the ladies I tagged in this post who laughed, screamed, and cried with me through this crazy ride. PLEASE show them some love and give them a follow!❤️

@bri.escaping.reality challenged me to spell ETHEREAL with my book titles. This was hard as I had no books beginning with E but I think I made it work 😂

I’ve tagged a few people if you choose to accept! Your word is MAGIC ✨✨✨

Here are a few of my bookish red flags 🚩

Thank you to @the.unselectednovels for tagging me in this trend. I’m hoping my red flags aren’t unforgivable (and maybe some will even agree).

I’ve tagged a few people to share their own 📚🚩 but no pressure.

Bookstagram One Year Anniversary! 🎉

This post feels like a lot after yesterday’s. And I still have tomorrow’s 2026 readings goals and January hopefuls on Saturday. And then I’ll be chilling out.

I started my Bookstagram handle about two year ago, but I didn’t really know what I wanted to do with my account for the first year. So, I waited. I spent some time of Threads and made some connections there. I also made some decisions about what I wanted for my account. Then after some encouragement on January 1, 2025, I posted my first Bookstagram post.

My goal with my Bookstagram has always been to make connections. Absolutely no judgement for anyone, who is looking for numbers. I just want this account to stay firmly in the low stress hobby category. I want to meet people who love books and want to chat about them. I want to post silly Book Dragon art that might make someone smile and post book reviews that might help someone find a new favorite book. I feel so happy and lucky that after my first year I feel like I have made some truly wonderful friends on here. Many of whom (but definitely not all), I tagged in this post. Although not even everyone featured is tagged, because Instagram has some weird limits. If you are looking for more book friends, I can vouch for all of them being stellar.

I appreciate all of you and am looking forward to another year traveling through books with you. ❤️
