A male belly dancing pig? A sheepish sheep? A goat who drums better than the Norwegians? A clumsy but well intentioned duck with attitude who wants to direct.

Gippsland youth are creating a musical based on our original ‘Duckstar’ book series . The performance is supported by musically talented The McCafferyFamily in order to share musical skills and involve local youth.

Fits many locally relevant themes of change and fun problem solving. In 'Duckstar' the animals 'perform' to save the children's farm.

To be performed on Sat Sept 19th at Community Hall as part of the Yarragon Youth Talent Showcase

Looking forward to a Gippsland production of 'Duckstar' this September, with youthful creators using all kinds of musical and dramatic skills.

So you’ve got an idea for a picture book and you’re wondering, now what? Part 1.

1. Have you written your story? If not, that’s your first task. 500-800 words roughly.
2. Do you know what you want to achieve with it? Traditional publishing? Self publishing? Be specific.

Follow for more advice in part 2.

Hi, I’m Daniel 👋

I’m a mental health advocate living with schizophrenia.

This page exists to show what life is really like living — and thriving — with a severe mental illness.

The challenges. The strengths. The appointments. The systems.

I’m here to educate, to be honest, and to remind people that we are more than our diagnoses.

If you’re here to learn, you’re welcome. If you’re here because this is your life too — you’re not alone.

Keep an eye out for my debut book in the UMS & AHS series, releasing April 10th.

Follow along on this journey of education, creation, and discovery.
