I love bookish dates🥹♥️

I attended my first ever book launch at Mall of the North for Devine Arrangements by the beautiful @thandie_takie hosted by @bargainbookssa . It was truly an interesting experience, I loved hearing Takalani M speak about her journey, her books and how her life in Venda played a huge role in Divine Arrangements.
Though I wish the launch could’ve been organised better, where we were sitting was too loud and busy, but nonetheless it was great.

Later we tried @masanacafe oh sana. TERRIBLE SERVICE but the cocktails had dreams and hopes of alcohol 😭 and the food arrived cold. They really need to do better🚮

Overall beautiful day and even better company ♥️

Books and tea? Yes please.
As an avid reader, I find it hard to be part of book clubs. I like reading at my own pace, and the freedom of choosing whatever genre I want to read without feeling compelled to do so. I always wished to be part of a club where we just wing it, we initiated one and my soul is elated.❤️

Happy Tuesday! ☕

I did a story on this but thought I'd do a post too. So here's my take on the #unfortunatelyidolove trend ❤

Unfortunately I Do Love:

- Being by myself, reading a book and drinking fancy coffee

- Buying and looking at stationery

- Watching Friends the tv show over and over again

- Everything about Christmas

- Watching cheesy reality shows like Love Is Blind

- The colour pink

- Being a Swiftie

- Buying bookmarks when I travel

- Reading and writing book reviews

- Genuinely following people on Bookstagram and not doing the whole follow to unfollow thing

- Talking about books

- Romance books that end in a happily ever after

- Reading on my phone or tablet

- Enemies to lovers where they literally can't stand to look at each other in the beginning

Q: What do you love that you're not sorry or shy to admit?

I've tagged some friends to participate but as always consider yourself tagged if you see this and want to do your own post.

Happy Spring! 🌸

On our side of the world we're welcoming spring today. I hope you've had a great weekend.

Thank you to the lovely Lish from @delishious.pages for tagging me in the #matchyourmugstack challenge.

The colours on these covers gave me spring vibes and I love this mug with the cute hearts.

The books featured in my stack are all favourites of mine:

🌸 Problematic Summer Romance - Ali Hazelwood

🌸 The One Hundred Years Of Lenni and Margot - Marianne Cronin

🌸 Happy Place - Emily Henry

I'll be tagging a few friends to share their mug stack but no pressure. Consider yourself tagged if you see this and want to do your own.

Q: Do you have a favourite mug? What does it look like?

Happy Wednesday ❤

I saw another bookstagrammer doing this and thought it'd be fun to do before Valentine's day. These are the books I have with the word love in the title. I actually thought I'd have more but a lot of my books are e books. So this is my physical bookstack.

❤ Love, Theoretically

❤ Not In Love

❤ Eat Pray Love

❤ The Love Letter

Q: How many books do you have with the word love in the title?

I'm tagging some friends to show us their bookstacks but no pressure. Also consider yourself tagged if you want to do this.

it’s been a while since i did a book tag, so thank you to @w.h.library for tagging me!

this pretty much captures it — literary angst, existential musings, and the kind of conversations that make you question everything and nothing at the same time. i’m the one who shows up with a book tucked under my arm, probably lost in thought about a fictional character, and ready to overanalyze the smallest details of a story.

some nostalgia, a bit of melancholy, and a love for beautifully devastating narratives. if there’s a quiet corner, you’ll probably find me there, discussing a line of prose that changed my entire perspective or convincing someone to watch a film that will emotionally wreck them.

i’ve tagged a few of you if you’d like to join in — what’s the vibe you bring?

Happy Monday and Happy New Year! ✨

My friend @bookish_hasina tagged me in the 5 Books in 2025 challenge and I decided it's a great first post for the year. Thanks for the tag Hasina.

The following 5 books are ones I plan to read in 2025:

✨ Not In Love - Ali Hazelwood
✨ Onyx Storm - Rebecca Yarros
✨ Great Big Beautiful Life - Emily Henry
✨ We Solve Murders - Richard Osman
✨ Belladonna - Adalyn Grace

Onyx Storm is releasing on the 21st of January and Emily Henry's new book will be released on the 22nd of April. There are so many amazing books being released in 2025 that we as readers are going to be spoilt for choice!

I'm tagging a few friends to show us their 5 books in 2025. No pressure though and if you'd like to do your own post like this consider yourself tagged 🏷

Q: Which book are you excited to read in 2025?
