Book Tour - with @novel.tours Hexed Up by Hannah Haze 4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A romcom but with witches! Admittedly there were parts of the storyline that were predictable and played out how I expected, however I just loved the story still. Molly and Horatio are impossible not to fall in love with. They are incredibly, toe curling cuteness together. Molly, a witch, accidentally love potion explodes her neighbour Horatio. A counter potion is not going to be easy so Molly has to put up with Horatio following her like a love sick puppy. However, it's certainly no hardship! There is scorching chemistry between the pair. Plus a lot of hijinks and chaos as Molly tries to solve the situation plus keep her (rather illegal) mistake from the witching community and her family. They build up the cutest friendship as the slow burn romance builds. After all that tension when they finally act on their feelings there are literal explosions! The book is so fun, lighthearted and just incredibly enjoyable. I was smiling the whole time I was reading. The biggest highlight though is Molly's demon best friend. Damien needs a whole book of his own! #witchyromance #bookreview #noveltours #hexedup #romance Ad

April, wrapped up 🌷💐🌻🌺 A month of new reads, fresh bookmarks, and birthday celebrations! 🎂 I’ve officially joined the Kindle club and I’m honestly loving it. I used to be unsure about it, but it’s made reading so much easier, especially when I’m out and about, and I’ve been getting through way more books because of it 📖 Also, can we talk about the matcha green colour? Obsessed!! 💚 I also launched 3 new products, and they might just be some of my favourites so far. And this sunshine?! Garden reading season is just around the corner 🤭🌸 #aprilrecap #bookish #photodump #bookstagram #smallbusinessowner

Have you read any fantasy books inspired by Ancient Rome? 🔥 Firebird: 🔥 Abbie's Review  (AD PR Product) Author: @juliettecrossauthor Publisher: @torbooksuk 🔥 Ancient Rome 🔥 Dragon shifters 🔥 Dark Romantasy 🔥 Master/slave relationship 🔥 Political intrigue Swipe for the Goodreads' blurb. Juliette Cross has created her own immersive version of Ancient Rome in Firebird; ruled by an all-powerful Caesar, peopled by dragon shifters, plebeians, and slaves. This comes with all the political intrigue and focus on military might that you might expect. But also explores the brutality of Rome; the decimation of peoples conquered by the Roman Empire, slavery, toxic masculinity, and women treated as property. If you’re unsure about the idea of a romance between a master and slave, know that the two main characters are aware of the  dichotomy. As Malina says, "You own me. That in itself is a betrayal. We are not equal. Not in the eyes of Rome." Is that a whiff of rebellion I smell? 👀 I liked Cross' reworking of the Medusa myth, leading to Roman goddess Minerva gifting powers to certain women to punish cruel men. It was interesting to see how she incorporated the Roman gods into her world, and how Malina's mystical power worked. There were a few elements of dragon shifter lore and society's rules that it would have been helpful to learn earlier on in the book. I was excited to find that the sneak peak of Book 2 confirmed one of my theories! Do check the trigger warnings online. It's important to remember that Firebird is a dark romantasy. It's also loosely based on Ancient Rome; anyone who's read Elodie Harper's brilliant historical fiction novels set in this empire will not be surprised by the brutality of this culture, but it may come as a shock to some. *A massive thank you to @bookbreak and @juliettecrossauthor for having us on the blog tour and for the gifted review copy. Is Firebird on your radar?

Q: An author your want to read more from? 💚💚💚 After reading A Marvellous Light by Freya Marske I knew I needed to read more from this author so I jumped at the chance to be included in this blog tour with @panmacmillan with a #Gifted edition of Swordcrossed by Freya Marske. We follow two men, one is Matti, the heir to his family’s struggling business about to go through an arranged marriage. The other is Luca, a part-time con artist and full-time charming menace. When Matti hires Luca for sword lessons, neither expect their growing alliance or the many surfacing lies that will tear it down. I’m around halfway through this book at the moment, and it's just reading itself! . . . #Swordcrossed #FreyaMarske #Romantasy #BlogTour #QueerHistoricalFantasy #TheLastBinding #BookstagramUK #BookishFlatlay #PellinorReport Swordcrossed by Freya Marske is laid flat on a white bedsheet, with green ivy draped over the background of the image.

Happy book lovers day! 📚💕 💭 What’s your favorite thing about being a book lover? What I love most about being a book lover: 💕 THE COMMUNITY AND FRIENDS!! I’ve never found a community that I felt like I belong as much as this bookish community 🥹 I’ve made so many incredible friends all over the world and close to home, and I’m so glad books brought us together 🫶 💕 COLLECTING BOOKS! I feel like reading books and collecting books are two completely separate (but still somewhat related) things and I love it! I have a weakness for pretty covers, finding special editions of books I love, and adding books to my library! My goal one day is to own 1000 books to officially be considered a library 🤭 💕 GETTING LOST IN A NEW WORLD! There’s this quote I really liked from The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, “Books, she has found, are a way to live a thousand lives—or to find strength in a very long one.” I love that quote so much and I think it’s so true! Reading allows us to live and experience so much from our couch, and I think there’s something so magical about that!

☀️📖 Currently Reading 📖☀️ Happy Wednesday. I hope you’re all having a great week so far! The start of my week has been a little rough, to say the least… On Monday night we had a big hail storm that caused a lot of damage to our house, so that’s been interesting to deal with as first time homeowners 😅 Apart from that, it’s finally a little cool and a little rainy outside, so I’ve been enjoying the nice little break from the heat! We haven’t had much rain this summer so I’ve been enjoying reading while listening to the rain! I started Get a Life, Chloe Brown and I’m really liking it so far! 🥰 I’m loving the writing style and humour that this book has, as well as the chronic pain representation! Im also really liking the characters as well! I’m hoping to read the rest of the series after with @readwithlil and I’m really looking forward to that ❤️ 💭 What are you currently reading?
