Went on a little side quest…

When I saw Iman looking for a videographer for this project, I told her I wasn’t a videographer but would love to create content for it and she was so open to supporting me and working together!

Working alongside Iman, Nadia, and Humna was such a special experience! Watching their vision slowly come to life and being able to capture all the little details along the way was something I’ll always be grateful for 🥹

Iman’s photography and creative direction tied the entire concept together beautifully, Nadia’s makeup brought the look to life, and Humna was the perfect muse! So thankful I got to be part of such a talented and creative team 🤍

“Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.” // Wild and free, her horse as her only companion - she spends her time counting the blades of grass and laying with her protector. The one who never betrays her, and knows her every feeling, she spends her days braiding her mane and daydreaming of freedom.

So, a horse walks into a hospital …

The always adorable mini therapy horses (and dogs!) made a special visit to Rush for #NursesMonth. Thanks to our friends at @soulharbourranch and @ready.set.ride_ for joining our celebration and bringing comfort and cuddles to our incredible #Nursing staff.

Last week during our annual Spring Service Week, part of our team spent the day volunteering at Ready Set Ride, an incredible therapeutic horseback riding program that supports children with physical and developmental disabilities. Their work helps build confidence, strength, and independence through the connection between rider and horse.

Our team rolled up their sleeves to clean out the barn, feed the animals, and of course spent some time giving plenty of love to the horses, goats, and barn cats. It was such a rewarding day getting to support an organization that makes such a meaningful impact in the community 🤍🐴

A new therapy setting for the goose 🐴🪿💛

I get to incorporate speech + language goals while working alongside the team and sweet horses at the nonprofit Ready, Set, Ride. “Ready Set Ride’s mission is to provide therapeutic equine recreational activities to special needs or terminally ill individuals regardless of race or religion.”

Horseback riding (hippotherapy) supports so much:
✨ Builds core strength + posture (which supports breath + speech)
✨ Helps with regulation and attention
✨ Increases motivation and engagement
✨ Creates natural opportunities for communication

Some of the best language moments happen out here whether that be comprehending directions, labeling, requesting, or just connecting.

So grateful for sessions full of belly laughs and sweet memories while the best girl rides Bessie!
