Steadicam Op in LA
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Posting this seasons recap has been so hard and l tell you why! This season held so many special moments and people, figuring out how to compile it together into one single Instagram post was near impossible.

I’m so grateful for all this show has given me, it helped me start my career in film and more specifically, the prop department. It introduced me to so many people that I intend to be long time friends with. I was so happy to be able to see it through until the end, and I’d tag every special person on the crew if I could 🩵 This family is very important to me and I’ll hold them dear to my heart, I can’t wait for everyone to see all our hard work on screen (in like a few years but that’s fine)

I love you all Chosen crew, until next time!

The Chosen wrapped filming their 7th and final season last week. I can’t tell you how much my experience on this series has meant to me. Coming in 4 seasons ago, I’ve grown so much professionally and as a person throughout the years.

These photos are from the last season. It was a fun one for me. I got to operate multiple days on a technocrane and jib, culminating in a week on a Texas lake in the searing heat where we had our camera on a crane on a floating barge. That same day - I was going from handheld on land to floating in the water with a hydroflex underwater rig and then operating a crane in the air above the water - like how fun is that?? There was a couple nights when blue hour was turning into night floating on that barge back to shore where I just felt fulfilled and trying to take in the moment of these adventures I’ve always dreamed of when I wanted to work in film. There’s hundreds of core memories like this throughout the seasons: little slices of the dream of working on a big set.

The best part of working on the show is the people - many of whom had been there since season 1 when it was just a small independent show. A grip & lighting team that is insanely fast and efficient, constructing some of the biggest setups I’ve ever seen. An egoless camera team that is a well oiled machine able to work in some really tough environments - with some of the best focus pulling that is made to seem effortless. Our DP, who is not only a master of lighting and visual language but someone that I’ve learned so much from just watching. The cast & the rest of the crew from production, SFX, sound, HMU & Costumes and art dept to the PAs who were always smiling and having a good time and were just a joy to be around. I recognize that a show like this doesn’t come by that often - I’m incredibly grateful to have been a part of it. Thank you to the camera team for all the wonderful memories @akisdp @_cameraspeeds_ @readysteadidan @joshpickeringdp @celluloid_snead @shamwowzerz @williamjtinker @andrewd.avis
