It was the bow that did it for me 🤎🎀

My friend Angela @breen_victorian_renovation has inspired me to make more of our hallway after seeing how she’s turned her entrance into a space to sit and enjoy.

So I’ve added this little table beside the chait to give me somewhere to put a cuppa, or with the wine wall so handy, perhaps a glass of wine 😂🍷

If you love a home full of character, go and have a look at Angela’s 🤎

Ad | Looks like wallpaper… but it’s paint 👀🤎

These panels were crying out for a little extra detail, and I love the difference this textured finish has made to our hallway ✨

I used Gimcyn Luxury by @imperaitalia
Seeing it catch the light is my favourite part!

A luxury-looking bedroom with a few budget secrets 🤎

I love mixing affordable finds, second-hand bargains and a little DIY to make a room feel special.

The bedding? £24.99 from @tesco
The lamps? Facebook Marketplace
The diffuser vase? @homebargains
The bedside tables? Upcycled with new knobs from @amazonuk
And the curtains and blinds were bought in the @nexthome sale at 50% off 🙌

Our DIY media wall is still a work in progress… there’s always another project in this house 😂

For me, it’s how everything comes together that makes a room feel luxurious.

Three details that made such a difference to our hallway 🤍

Panel mouldings from @wallpanelsworld gave the plain walls more character, Gimcyn Luxury textured paint from @imperaitalia brought depth to the panels, and our wine wall with warm lighting turned the empty spac beneath the stairs into a feature 🍷

It’s been a gradual transformation, one project at a time and seeing the before makes me appreciate it even more.

Which detail would you add to your home: panelling, textured paint or a wine wall? 🤭

Save this for hallway inspiration 🤍

Sometimes you need to look back to see how far you’ve come 🤍

Our hallway has seen plenty of dust, DIY and decorating… and judging by the stepladder, I’m still not finished 😂

But looking at these older photos makes me appreciate every little change. From laying the insulation and underfloor heating pipes to the tiling, panelling and creating our wine wall, it’s slowly becoming the welcoming space I pictured.

Swipe for a look back at where we started 👉

Are you someone who finishes a room and leaves it, or are you always planning the next little update like me? 🤭

The paint colour you’ll want to save for your next decorating project 🤎

This is Sandstone by @juliaclareint and I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it on Julia’s stall @mingleandhome Glasgow event last year. I love the warmth it brings to the room. Such a gorgeous neutral for creating that cosy, calm feel.

Choosing the right neutral isn’t always easy, so save this for when you’re comparing colours 🎨

Finally getting around to tackling our bedroom… because everything else always seemed to take priority 🤎

From a blank room to the calm, luxurious bedroom I’d always imagined. Warm neutral tones, layers of texture and a statement bed from @theluxurybedcompany completely transformed this space.

It may have taken us a while to get here, but it was worth the wait ✨

Would you believe this is the same room?

Just when I thought our wine wall couldn’t get any better… we finally added lighting ✨

I don’t often add photos to my grid, but I thought this shot deserved a place 🤎

I’ve had wires hanging out of this wall for years, waiting for my husband to get around to fitting these lights… but I have to admit, they were worth the wait! ✨

I’m still here guys 👋🏻 Still priming the woodwork… and oh, more sanding AGAIN today! 🫠

This prep is genuinely never ending 😂 I just want to get to the bit where I can actually start painting!
